Job description


As a part of PV Switzerland team, you will be responsible for: 

  • Triage, assess and process safety information from various sources following PV regulations, internal Standard Operating procedures (SOPs) and guidelines 
    • Receiving, reviewing and interpretation of medical reports 
    • Case processing on affiliate level in the Affiliate or Global Safety Database
    • Seriousness assessment per internal guidelines 
    • Translation of source documents from German to English 
    • Narrative writing
    • Distribution of case reports to external third parties
    • Triggering and/or performing follow up per internal guidelines with patients, health care professionals or other third parties 
    • Performing quality control activities incl. Corrective Action and Preventive Action (CAPA) handling 
    • Local labeling assessment
    • Submission to Swiss authority 
    • Monitoring of Switzerland Safety Mailbox
  • To perform additional Pharmacovigilance activities, such as ICSR reconciliation with external and internal interfaces, SOP/Manual writing, affiliate oversight reporting to Global PV etc.


  • University degree in scientific or healthcare area 
  • Fluent in German and English language 
  • At least 1 year of experience in Pharmacovigilance end to end case processing 
  • Working experience in Safety Database or other database used in the pharmaceutical industry (preferably)
  • Strong MS-Office skills 
  • Being detailed, accurate and able to prioritize and complete the assigned tasks on time
