Thank you for applying for a position at Teva or for registering at our Careers Site. You will find more information in this document on how Teva processes your personal data in relation to your application.

As Teva is a global company, the data controller is Teva Pharmaceuticals Industries Ltd. with its registered seat at 124 Dvora HaNevi'a St., Tel Aviv 694402 Israel, and in the case that you decide to apply for a specific job position in a specific country the Teva entity to which you are applying for a position will get access to your personal data and will also become the data controller. In such case we will provide you with extra information on how do we process your personal data in the country where you have applied for a job. The Information we collect

We may collect personal data about you when you register on our Careers Site (the “Site”) or apply for a role. The personal data you may provide includes:

  • Name and Teva candidate ID
  • Address (including country of residence)
  • E-mail address and phone number
  • CV, including work experience, qualifications, skills and education history, proper authorization for the position
  • Any other information provided by you as part of the application process

If you apply for a role and/or are invited to an interview, we may collect further information, such as:

  • Teva application and candidate profile
  • Interview notes
  • Testing results

In addition, Teva may automatically collect information about the website from which you came to our Careers Site. Teva also collects information on the parts of the Careers Site that you visit, the type of browser you use and the times you access the Site. However, this information is aggregated and is not used to identify you.

How we use and share your information

We process the personal data we collect to allow us to:

  • Administer your enquiries or applications for roles at Teva (including sharing your application and personal data with the relevant Teva entities);
  • Provide you with job alerts or saved searches (as requested by you);
    • Identify other potential jobs within Teva for which you may be suited;
    • Meet our current or future legal, regulatory and compliance requirements; and
  • Administer the Site.

Note that no special categories of personal data/sensitive data will be collected unless this is a required element for your application, for which you will be informed and your consent will be obtained at the time if required.

 

For some roles, Teva will make an offer of employment subject to pre-employment screening being carried out to Teva’s satisfaction. Teva only carries this out for certain roles where these checks are important. In this case, Teva (or a third party acting on Teva’s behalf) will obtain information from third parties – such as educational institutions where you have studied, former employers and government agencies (where required to check your right to work for Teva). Where required, we will ask you for your consent to do this.

 

Teva needs to process the personal data above in order to assess your applications and take the necessary steps prior to entering into a contract with you.

 

Teva employs the services of third parties (who may have access to your personal data) to help us in certain areas, such as:

  • Recruitment and HR management platform (Employee Central/Success Factor)
  • IT technology services including hosting, maintenance, administration and analysis
  • For general recruitment services, Teva employs Alexander Mann Solutions;
  • For pre-employment screening, Teva works with various partners, depending on the region. Note that before the pre-employment screening process starts, you will be notified and provided at that time with an additional privacy notice and authorization, when relevant.
  • Other agencies who may assist us in various stages of the recruitment process

 

Teva will, at all times, control and be responsible for the use of your information. Your application may be handled by and shared with different entities within Teva globally, depending on the role for which you apply. A list of all Teva entities may be found here. Legal Basis: Teva needs to process your personal data in order to process and assess your applications and take the necessary steps prior to entering into a contract with you (GDPR Art. 6.1(b)). Where we rely on consent (for example, in some pre-employment screening procedures), this will be made clear to you during the process and your consent is obtained prior to such processing. Teva will not be using any fully automated process to determine your suitability for roles.

 

In addition, with your consent as provided on the Site, we may contact you about potential future assignments and roles. We may also contact you from time to time to update or validate as accurate the information that we hold about you.

 

Please note that should you be successful in your application for employment with us, your personal data provided during the recruitment process will be transferred to our internal HR systems for employees. How we store your information and your rights

We retain all the information we gather about you until you ask us to change or remove your personal data. Interview notes and testing outcomes of unsuccessful applicants are deleted in accordance with our legally required retention periods and our Teva Records Retention Policy; in Europe, it is generally after one year. You may exercise certain rights in relation to your personal data that we processed.

 

Data subjects in the EEA, UK and Switzerland: with regard to your personal data you have the right of access, to rectification, erasure, objection (including objection to automated decision making), restriction of the processing, data portability, as well as to withdraw any consent initially provided.

 

Please note that your rights may be limited in some situations – for example, where we can demonstrate we have a legal requirement to process your personal data. If you feel your concerns have not been resolved, you have also the right to lodge complaints with the relevant data protection authority.

Security

Teva takes measures to secure your personal data from accidental loss and from unauthorized access, use, alteration or disclosure. Data is transferred securely using SSL encryption and stored on secure servers. Additionally, we take further information security measures including access controls, stringent physical security and robust information collection, storage & processing practices. However, the internet is an open system and Teva cannot guarantee that unauthorized third parties will never be able to defeat those measures or use your personal information for improper purposes.

International transfers

Teva is a global group of companies and as a result, your information may be transferred outside your country to one that may have different data protection laws. Teva will always take steps to ensure your information is adequately protected if transferred to these countries; for the EEA, for example, when transferred to Teva in Israel, this is protected under Israeli law which is recognized by the European Commission to provide adequate protection; when transferred to USA, Teva generally relies upon European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
