The opportunity

We are looking for a Solution Architect who will be responsible for designing, modifying, and testing technical architecture across multiple platforms with a focus on Microsoft Power Platform, SharePoint, .NET systems, custom applications, integration solutions, code reviews, and cybersecurity. This role will serve as a technology advisor to project teams, system owners, and process owners, ensuring that relevant architecture principles are followed, and that security is embedded throughout all solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a unique blend of technical expertise, business acumen, and communication skills to translate complex business requirements into robust technical solutions. 

How you’ll spend your day

  • Technology Design and Implementation 
    • The Solution Architect will analyze business requirements, identify potential technology solutions, and design comprehensive implementation plans that meet organizational goals. You will be accountable for the architecture and design of solutions that align with our enterprise architecture standards, providing subject matter expertise to ensure business opportunities are identified and realized in a cost-effective manner. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will ensure all solutions adhere to pharmaceutical industry regulations and security standards. 
  • Microsoft Power Platform and SharePoint Expertise 
    • You will leverage Microsoft Power Platform components (Power Apps, Power BI, Power Automate) to design and implement business solutions that streamline processes and enhance data analytics capabilities. This includes understanding the platform's design limits and how they influence solution architectures, as well as communicating these considerations to stakeholders. Additionally, you will design SharePoint information architecture that supports document management, collaboration, and workflow requirements across the organization. 
  • Security and Quality Assurance 
    • You will participate in secure code review processes, combining both manual and automated approaches to identify and address security vulnerabilities. This includes examining architectural design, algorithms, data structures, and overall coding style to ensure compliance with best practices and security standards. You will work with development teams to implement remediation strategies for identified vulnerabilities and promote a security-by-design approach. 
    • You will collaborate with information security teams to ensure all solutions incorporate appropriate security controls and comply with pharmaceutical industry regulations. You will also foster cybersecurity awareness throughout the technology organization by providing guidance, training, and best practices related to secure development. 

Your experience and qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer science, Information Technology, or related field 
  • 8+ years of IT experience with 5+ years in solution architecture within regulated industries 
  • Experience with Microsoft Power Platform, SharePoint, and .NET technologies 
  • Knowledge of integration technologies and cybersecurity principles 
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to translate technical concepts 
  • Fluent English language skills, both written and verbal, as company communication is conducted in English 
  • Experience with secure coding practices and performing code reviews to identify security vulnerabilities 

 

Preferred:

  • Master's degree in related field 
  • Microsoft and cybersecurity certifications 
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and cloud platforms 
  • Experience with Optimizely CMS
