The Procurement Financial Planning & Governance Lead is responsible for ensuring that EXM Procurement teams are following defined ways of working in order that procurement-driven value is financially accurate, validated, and embedded within corporate planning processes. This role serves as a bridge between Sourcing Teams and Finance (Finance/Decision Support), ensuring that sourcing activity is being captured accurately and consistently by EXM Procurement teams in order that procurement impact is translated into measurable P&L impact with consistency. This role also supports the consistency of reporting used in leadership dashboarding, in partnership with Finance (Finance/Decision Support)
How You’ll Spend Your Day
- Onboard new team members to implement consistency in completion of the savings framework (e.g., cost reduction, cost avoidance, value creation)
- Establish clear traceability of EXM Procurement’s maintenance and reporting of sourcing impact
- Ensure alignment with EXM Procurement teams that systems are used consistently and updated with appropriate frequency
- Partner with Finance (Finance/Decision Support) that reporting dashboards are complete / accurate
- Support procurement teams during annual operating planning (AOP) and rolling forecast cycles with system generated data
- Work with category strategies and sourcing teams to develop multi-year pipeline saving outlooks that can be integrated into budget assumptions and cost target planning
- Ensure procurement commitments are reflected in savings planning tools and updated in aligned frequency with Finance (Finance/Decision Support)
- Work with EXM Procurement LT to develop standards on end-to-end savings lifecycle tracking (pipeline, committed, realized) with support to track procurement teams capturing in savings planning tools
- Work with Finance (Finance/Decision Support) to ensure there is consistent, and executive-ready reporting on procurement value delivery
- Work with EXM Procurement LT to establish and report that ways of working are embedded in defining savings targets across categories and business units and that they are captured in savings planning tools accurately
- Support EXM Procurement LT to drive accountability and performance transparency across procurement teams
- Work with EXM Procurement LT to establish ways of working in 3-5 year LRP savings planning, developing and managing offline tools used for reporting
- Where identified, work with EXM Procurement teams to track supplier trends and assess its impact on categories; ex. Price variability, inflation, tariffs, etc
- Partner with category teams to identify ways to strengthen should-cost models and long range savings planning
- Act as the support bridge between Procurement and Finance (Finance/Decision Support)
- Align on financial assumptions, reporting standards, and governance processes
- Partner with EXM Procurement leaders to prepare for financial reviews and governance forums to represent procurement performance
Your Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Supply Chain, or related field (MBA or equivalent preferred)
- 3-5+ years of experience in procurement, finance, or FP&A
- Experience in savings tracking, financial planning, or performance management
- Strong understanding of P&L structures, budgeting, and forecasting processes
- Understanding of procurement savings methodologies and financial validation principles
- Analytical skills (Excel, financial modeling; experience with BI tools preferred)
- Understanding of how procurement teams translate sourcing activities into quantifiable financial outcomes
- Understanding of category management and sourcing processes
- Ability to help Finance (Finance/Decision Support) connect procurement initiatives to broader business and financial objectives
- Capable governance and attention to detail
- Ability to inform and influence cross-functional teams
