The opportunity

 

We are seeking a Senior Market Intelligence Analyst to join our Global Decision Support team within the Center of Excellence (CoE), Global Procurement (GP). As a vital member of the team, you will act as a trusted partner and advisor to GP management, delivering data-driven insights that support decision-making processes across the Global Procurement organization.

How you’ll spend your day

 

•    Market Research & Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with Procurement teams to deliver actionable, data-driven insights that support sourcing strategies, cost-saving initiatives and procurement optimization efforts. Conduct in-depth market intelligence gathering on key trends, competitor activities, supplier performance and industry innovations. Act as the key liaison between procurement teams and market intelligence providers, ensuring that data-driven insights align with business needs.
•    Market Intelligence Tools & Processes: Leverage advanced analytics tools to collect, analyze and visualize data. Continuously enhance processes to improve the accuracy and relevance of market intelligence reports and forecasts. 
•    Market Intelligence Provider Management: Oversee relationships with external market intelligence providers, ensuring optimal use of resources, budgets and insights to support procurement strategies. Strategically manage market intelligence spend, identifying opportunities to optimize costs while maximizing value from data and research providers.
•    Commodity and Macroeconomic Outlooks: Conduct comprehensive economic and market analysis to identify key macroeconomic and commodity variables influencing procurement spend.
•    Forecasting Models: Develop and maintain advanced pricing and forecasting models using cost modeling and time-series methods to enhance accuracy and support strategic decisions.
•    Savings and Spend Analysis: Facilitate planning and tracking of savings through the AOP (Annual Operating Plan), LBE (Latest Best Estimate) and LRP (Long Range Plan) processes. Review and approve savings initiatives within the savings tracking tool. Develop and maintain dashboards to track and report on savings and spend development. Collaborate with global procurement teams and leadership to ensure informed decision-making.
•    Training & Development: Conduct training sessions to build organizational awareness and competency in market intelligence practices.
•    Special Projects: Support various projects related to market intelligence, reporting and analytics within the scope of global procurement.
 

Your experience and qualifications

 

•    Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Procurement, Supply Chain, Finance, Economics, Engineering or a related field. 
•    3+ years of relevant experience in market intelligence, business analytics, procurement or a related field. Prior experience working in a global, cross-functional environment in the manufacturing, healthcare or pharmaceutical industries in a business partner or consultant role is preferred. 
•    Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), with experience in advanced Excel functions, pivot tables, data visualization and dashboard development.
•    Familiarity with procurement systems and market intelligence platforms is an advantage.
•    Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
•    Self-motivated, proactive and adaptable to ambiguity and change in a dynamic international environment.
•    Strong analytical and reporting skills, with the ability to synthesize complex data into clear, actionable insights. Highly detail-oriented and data-driven. 
•    Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to deliver complex information in a concise and engaging manner.
•    Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced and changing environment.
•    Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
•    Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think strategically and drive improvements.
•    Knowledge of procurement and supply chain processes, including spend analysis, sourcing strategies and savings tracking.
