It’s a mission that bonds our people across nearly 60 countries and a rich, diverse variety of nationalities and backgrounds. Working here means working with the world’s leading manufacturer of generic medicines, and the proud producer of many of the products on the World Health Organization’s Essential Medicines List. Today, at least 200 million people around the world take one of our medicines every single day. An amazing number, but we’re always looking for new ways to continue making a difference, and new people to make a difference with.

The opportunity

As a Procurement Manager, you will lead strategic sourcing initiatives for a diverse range of indirect materials and services across Teva's European sites. Working within a dynamic procurement matrix organization, you will collaborate closely with Category Management and Sourcing Operations as part of the Regional Procurement Europe Team. In this role, you will drive commercial value through RFPs, eAuctions, and negotiations—covering both pricing and working capital—while ensuring security of supply that meets current and future business needs at a competitive total cost. You will operate in strict compliance with Teva's Global Procurement framework, aligning with policies, systems, and processes, and partnering with international stakeholders to deliver category strategies and functional solutions that support TEVA’s strategic and financial objectives. Key priorities include generating year-over-year savings, applying a Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) approach, and achieving targeted working capital improvements such as optimized payment terms.

How you’ll spend your day

  • Accountable for strategic sourcing of projects, services, and goods for indirect spend categories across Europe.

  • Act as a liaison to internal Procurement teams, stakeholder functions, and business unit leaders. Establish and maintain close lines of communication with production facilities and stakeholders regarding the procurement of projects, services, and goods that exceed the Competitive Bidding Threshold.

  • Implement global strategies at the plant level.

  • Demand Management: Ensure that the business requirements of all key stakeholders and scopes of work are well understood and accurately addressed in the sourcing process. Influence business demand where required and possible.

  • Sourcing Strategy: Develop sourcing strategies in alignment with the respective category strategy. Maintain a regional rather than local focus wherever possible. Define the approach to market and develop source selection criteria based on business priorities and requirements.

  • Manage a consolidated supplier base to meet current and future business needs, maintaining and promoting strong relationships with an extensive network of suppliers as well as the wider business community.

  • Develop risk management strategies and recommend short and long-term initiatives with clearly defined risks and benefits. Secure delivery and monitor the introduction of alternate sources for selected materials and services.

  • Understand stakeholder needs and focus on cost reduction and regional supplier consolidation; take an active role in negotiating contracts to secure the best prices and delivery times, aligned with GPP, compliance standards, and the code of conduct.

  • Continuously identify new opportunities, including market analysis and trend evaluation.

  • Support the AOP process in close collaboration with stakeholders, ensuring the update and maintenance of savings (CR and CA) in the WAVE system.

Your experience and qualifications

  • University degree in Business, Chemistry, Sciences, or Industrial Engineering
  • Professional certification in purchasing or supply chain management is desirable (e.g., ISM: CPSM, CSM, CPM; APICS: CPIM, CIRM; EPIM, etc.)
  • Minimum of four years of professional procurement experience within a global organization, with a focus on indirect spend
  • Proven expertise in developing and executing sourcing strategies, managing Requests for Proposals (RFPs), supplier selection, and conducting negotiations
  • Hands-on experience with sourcing/procurement tools and methodologies, including RFI, RFP, RFQ, bid evaluations, cost modeling, and strong negotiation skills for pre- and post-contract awards
  • Strong understanding of contract law required
  • Capability to model and quantify financial benefits for identified opportunities and initiatives
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English
  • Strong interpersonal and change management skills, combined with a highly analytical and proactive approach; adept at collaborating across functions, influencing stakeholders, and translating complex analysis into clear strategic insights
