Job Description

 

This position will be required to interact directly with internal and external stakeholders in order to ensure oversight of system operations, maintenance, releases, testing, data entry and other system activities as needed.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

 

Serve as Business Owner for internal clinical trial management system used by Global Medical Affairs (GMA):
•    Responsible for the development and implementation of the business requirements within the system in collaboration with all identified stakeholders – X6 releases per year
•    Develop UAT scripts
•    UAT execution and validation
•    Ensure training for new users, internal and external 
•    Develop and track appropriate KPIs to ensure system meets expected requirements and monitor progress
•    Interact  with Regional SMEs to understand pain points with system functionality, support business questions, communicate and work with the IT teams on system fixes to address issues
•    Support report and dashboard development and adjustments 
•    Support the BI tool  design, development and implementation in collaboration with IT and all identified stakeholders
•    Ensure smooth operation of the systems internal interfaces and vendors with high responsiveness and short time to issue resolution

 

Process support:
•    Study creation in study tracking tool
•    Study maintenance
•    User administration – data entry such as contacts, creation, ORGs, etc.
•    ISS module – support the process from investigator requests, user access review and approval
•    Update/review relevant system work instructions/SOPs and other applicable documentation and training as related to system processes, procedural documents and continuous process improvements

 

Support Business Owner on routine releases for other Global Medical systems including but not limited to 
•    Development of UAT scripts, testing and validation
•    Lead system trainings as needed
•    Interact with SMEs to understand pain points with system functionality, communicate and work with the vendor on system fixes to address issues
•    Ensure smooth operation of the systems internal interfaces and IT with high responsiveness and short time to issue resolution
 

Qualifications

 

•    Bachelor’s degree in MIS (Management Information Systems), computer science, healthcare/bio-informatics or similar area
•    3 years of demonstrated experience in supporting and managing technology systems of clinical trials
•    Experience with writing and executing UAT scripts, processes, and implementation of requirements
•    Strong interpersonal skills with experience in project management, organization and tools
•    Experience in working in a complex global environment
•    Experience working with Veeva platforms is a significant advantage
•    At least 2 years in a research, clinical or healthcare setting is an advantage 
•    Ability to work with global interfaces is an advantage
•    Knowledge of digital and technology topics and trends
•    Technical orientation to systems
•    Pharmaceutical experience including understanding of Medical Affairs including clinical trials (e.g. ISS, CR, Secondary Data Collections, PASS, NIS, Registries)
