The opportunity
The Key Account Manager is responsible for drawing up and executing annual account plans, maximizing sales, and identifying new business opportunities. In this role you will establish contacts and develop sustainable partnerships with neurologists & psychiatrists within the West and East Flanders.
How you’ll spend your day
- Develop annual account plans in collaboration with Medical Advisor & Marketing.
- These plans must ‘live’ and therefore evaluated regularly and, if necessary, you must take specific actions based on changes in the market.
- In addition to developing the account plans, you guarantee their implementation within your hospitals.
- Maintain existing and build new relationships with the various medical and non-medical stakeholders within the hospitals.
- Manage and update the customer database in accordance with company guidelines.
- Implement segmentation principles for targeted customer communications.
- Provide information and expertise to meet customer requests and achieve business goals.
- Stay up to date on the therapeutic area, the products, and the competitors through training and scientific meetings.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize project results and align with project implementations.
- Organize scientific evenings, staff meetings, etc.
Your experience and qualifications
- Bachelor or master’s in science or (para) medical.
- Experience as GP/SP rep (experience in Psychiatry is a plus)
- In addition to your native language Dutch, you can express yourself in English & French
- Practical knowledge of CRM systems is also a plus.
- Be open to change and can get out of your comfort zone
- Can discuss in deep with specialists
- Can carry a lot of own and joint responsibilities
- Can analyze and think strategically / Be able to draw up and implement their own action plan
- Networking in new therapeutic environments / Set up communication moments with the regional KOLs for his/her colleagues
- Be real team players / Sharing everything between colleagues to meet the national objective and their target
- Being highly compliant towards the use of medical and marketing tools in communications with our target groups of doctors
- Be flexible & result-oriented
- Being able to constantly question themselves, whereby review with manager is crucial
