The opportunity

As Key account manager you will be responsible for maximizing the growth of the portfolio within the whole Flemish-speaking region and a portion of Brussels. This entails forging robust partnerships with hospital decision-makers, amplifying the expansion of the Teva Hospital product portfolio, and managing ongoing public tenders. The optimization of Teva product differentiation versus competition is an asset in your daily specialist (HCP’s)  visit & meeting. Moreover, you will wield influence in the initiation, facilitation, and negotiation of future public tenders in both oncology and hospital product portfolio. 

How you’ll spend your day

  • Develop strategic Key Account plans aligned with business goals
  • Plan and control expenses within the annual sales budget
  • Monitor competitors' activities and provide insights
  • Engage with prescribers and decision-makers to drive sales
  • Negotiate effectively with hospital decision-makers for tender preparation, influence on qualitative part thanks to USP & contracts
  • Analyze thoroughly all public tenders after final decision to improve Teva impact in the following proposal 
  • Identify growth opportunities and implement Key Account Plans
  • Lead the initiation of new public tenders and collaborate with the tender cell team
  • Monitor sales activities and budgets for cost-effective results
  • Act as a liaison between customers and Teva, providing feedback
  • Participate actively in national & international congresses within the therapeutic area
  • Take leadership in the region and implement effective structures and processes
  • Cultivate relationships with Key Opinion Leaders and hospital decision-makers.
     

Your experience and qualifications

  • Higher education in a medical or paramedical field, or equivalent experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Approximately 5 years of professional experience in commercial roles, with a focus on sales. Experience in negotiating hospital sales and tender processes is preferred. Sales experience with oncologists, hematologists, ophthalmologists, and other hospital specialties is a plus.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team-building abilities, coupled with excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills (including proficiency in PowerPoint).
  • Exceptional organizational, time management, and multitasking skills, with a talent for building interpersonal relationships & flexibility.
  • Proven track record in account management and relationship building.
  • Ability to conduct market analysis and identify trends.
  • Highly self-motivated, eager to learn and perseverant.
  • Experience in tender management with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure with a sense of urgency.
  • Resilience to stress and effective emotional management.
  • Fluent in Dutch (French proficiency is appreciated) and English.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license.
