Job Description
The Business Analytics III – Tableau Administrator is a senior professional with technical and analytical training who will use computer system knowledge to maintain the analytics stack and that can also leverage analytic methods and advanced programming language to produce analytics. Individual will have to work closely with several functional departments to solve complex technical problems, perform system upgrades and manage automation processes
- Incumbent should be academically trained or must have gathered professionally experience and skills in IT, computer management, analytics and advanced programming languages
- Performs all the Tableau Server Administrator tasks such as backups, server upgrades, manage permissions, performance optimization, support for IT issues related to the server, work with the different teams in maintaining optimal server performance
- Supports process automation to ensure that schedules and scripts run timely and accurately
- Manages the ETL and database processes that daily move data from the production servers to the SQL server and the Tableau Server
- Works in Tableau and other similar tools to produce visual techniques and analytical methods as needed performs data mining, exploration, usage of analytical programs/languages to find anomalies within big data
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in related field is required
- A minimum of 5 years progressive experience in an analytics role in business related role is required
- Demonstrated experience in working in different business areas and business models
- Background in technology, preferably in Windows based systems, databases and Tableau server
- Expertise in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, and Word)
- Expertise in (Tableau, SQL, Python, R, PowerShell, Pentaho)
- Advanced understanding of computer networking and server administration
- Academic courses in IT, database management and analytics
- Ability to understand basic statistical methodologies in order to understand complex sales/market dynamics
- Assertiveness, problem solving abilities, ability to manage multiple tasks and projects, time management, adherence to deadlines, accountability and creativity are required
- Ability to learn and design new processes
- Strong business acumen
