Job Description

•    Carry out accounting responsibilities in accordance with GAAP, the Company’s policies and procedures. 
•    Conduct monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
•    Work with management to define and track key performance and operational metrics, as well as, other key analysis to facilitate decision-making.
•    Prepare accurate and timely financial reporting package with established schedules and with input from the rest of the accounting department.
•    Extensive Balance Sheet and Income Statement review, research and resolve any possible issues/discrepancies.
•    Research technical accounting and reporting topics.
•    Assist with interim and annual audits; complete required materials and schedules. 
•    Contribute to process improvements.
•    Solve complex problems, taking a new perspective using existing solutions.
•    Act as a resource for colleagues with less experience.

Qualifications

•    Minimum three years accounting work experience, preferably with a “Big 4” accounting firm or in the Pharmaceutical industry. 
•    Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/business/finance. MBA or CPA preferred.
•    Experience using ERP systems: JDE, SAP preferred
•    Strong knowledge and understanding of GAAP
•    Pharmaceutical Industry knowledge or experience preferred
•    Work independently with minimal guidance/supervision
•    Requires in-depth knowledge and experience in Finance/Accounting in diversified, fast paced environments
