Job Description

The Vice President will be the Therapeutic Head for Immunology and other relevant franchises and is responsible for providing scientific/clinical and product development leadership and support for development programs in the respective Therapeutic Area(s). The Vice President will report directly to the Senior Vice President of Specialty R&D overseeing a team of physicians and scientists. This is a critical role within the company, having a significant impact in defining the clinical development strategy at a high level.


The VP will identify opportunities for development via internal evaluations and business development collaborations to build a portfolio which addresses unmet needs in the Therapeutic Area. The individual will provide leadership and guidance throughout the process and have considerable regulatory knowledge to ensure that the development programs meet expectations of the US Food and Drug Administration or other applicable regulatory bodies. They will identify and establish relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and establish for them close collaborations with Teva’s Clinical, Commercial and Medical Affairs groups. This person will have significant leadership responsibilities, will be an essential member of the senior management team and lead cross functional teams to develop the overall development strategy for the franchises and to drive execution to deliver the portfolio. The individual will provide leadership to motivate, retain and develop their team of direct reports.


MD, DO or MD plus PhD

Minimum of 10 years’ experience in clinical development function within a biotech or pharmaceutical company

Experience filing multiple Investigational New Drug (INDs) applications preferred

Experience filing multiple New Drug Applications (NDAs) preferred

Strong relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) across the country and globe

Thorough knowledge of Good Clinical Practice, clinical trial design, statistics, regulatory processes and clinical development processes.
