Our Team, Your Impact

Primary responsibility will be managing all employee relations issues for Teva within the Employee Relations COE (Center of Excellence) for the United States.  This position will be responsible for managing employee relations investigations and processes including ensuring appropriate outcomes of investigations consistent with Teva policy.  The Senior Manager, Employee Relations, will track cases and investigations to view trends and areas for potential proactive training opportunities.  Provides coaching and counseling to managers and HR colleagues related to employee relations issues including leaves of absence and requests for accommodation.

 

Location: This is a hybrid role (3 days/week onsite) that can be based in our Parsippany, NJ or West Chester, PA offices. 

How You’ll Spend Your Day

  1. Serves as a consultant to management on employee coaching & counseling, progressive discipline, investigations and exits related to performance, code of conduct & policy violations
  2. Serves as a liaison between management and specialist areas for workers compensation, leaves of absence accommodation requests and fleet violations; gathers information to support decision making in compliance with company policies and local regulations
  3. Partners closely with HR Operations & Services and other COEs to interpret HR policies and processes related to employee relations
  4. Work closely with Corporate Compliance to ensure employment actions are aligned with compliance policies and processes
  5. Provides employee and management, coaching and counseling with objectivity and professionalism in dealing with sensitive issues
  6. May advise related to other HR processes such as decisions/processes concerning promotions, compensation adjustments, transfers, terminations, recruitment and staffing.
  7. May support other HR projects, priorities and initiatives as needed

Your Skills and Experience

Education Required:    

  • Bachelor’s Degree in HR or related field

    
Experience Required:    

  • A minimum of 5 years of HR experience in a business facing role with a significant emphasis on employee relations


Experience Preferred:

  • Pharmaceutical or healthcare with large field based sales organization is ideal
  • Knowledge of US employment law
  • Expertise in processes for employee counseling, investigations, separations
  • Experience managing leave of absence process a plus


Job-specific Competencies:

  • The person will demonstrate fundamental cross-functional collaboration skills with the ability to guide or direct others through action or influence. 
  • A successful candidate must also have the ability to understand issues impacting the business unit and company
  • Experience developing and/or working in a COE based Human Resources model.
  • Able to navigate in a highly matrixed work environment.
  • Strong project management skills required
  • Change management skills and experience strongly preferred
  • Other required skills include a strong business understanding, basic organizational consulting skills and strong analytical and communication skills (oral and written). 
  • Experience coaching managers on employee relations
  • Strong knowledge of US employment law and how to mitigate risk
  • Comfort in providing constructive feedback to managers about their people manager skills

 

Travel Requirements:   Up to 20%

Salary Range

The annual starting salary for this position is between $113,920 - $142,400 annually.  Factors which may affect starting salary within this range and level of role may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
