The site will support CMC development of products from IND through BLA.
Position Summary:
The Associate Manager, Lab Support at Process Development will manage the day-to-day operations in the Process Development (PD) laboratories, and support all Process Development activities. This includes both upstream and downstream process development.
Responsibilities
- Manage inventory and track usage of materials used for PD studies.
- Coordinate with material vendors for material supplies, and material information. Manage relationships with suppliers.
- Oversee PD equipment and utility maintenance and repair by coordinating with Facilities and Maintenance teams.
- Back up resource to support team for buffer/ media formulation if needed.
- Be the champion of safe practices in the PD labs.
- Promote a collaborative and productive team culture. Identify approaches to increase PD’s operational efficiency.
- Other duties will be assigned as needed.
Qualifications
Required:
- B.S. or B.A. in Chemistry, Biology, or related field with 10+ years’ experience in pharmaceutical industry.
- 2+ years’ experience in lab management function, inventory and interactions with vendors.
Preferred:
- Well versed in cGMP, ICH, and biologics CMC regulations.
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to establish strong working relationships across different functions.
- Experience with Upstream and/or Downstream Process Development.
