Job Description

 

This internship is to provide a unique opportunity to gain direct experience in health economics and outcomes research (HEOR).  Interns will experience hands on development, implementation, and dissemination of HEOR strategy, initiatives, and research studies.  The HEOR intern will be responsible for leading and supporting projects and studies under the guidance of a mentor and in collaboration with other HEOR scientists, and, cross-functional departments and colleagues in medical, commercial, and with other key internal stakeholders. At the conclusion of the internship, the expectation is that the intern will have developed a foundational familiarity and experience with the structure and process of HEOR in a pharmaceutical industrial environment.
The goal of the program is to provide a basic structured learning and work experience for a new HEOR scientist in the support key phases of drug development.  Specifically, the program aims to provide experiential learning of HEOR form clinical development to commercialization to life cycle management, and, to help participants understand how scientific evidence generation defines place in therapy to inform optimal treatment and patient-health outcomes.

Location:  On-site office location in West Chester, PA or Parsippany, NJ
Length:  10 weeks 
Schedule:  You must be available to work a 40-hour work week for 10 weeks summer 2023.
 
Tasks & Responsibilities 
 

  • During the 10 week program, you will gain in-depth insights into the Global Health Economics and Outcomes Research department.
  • Supported by a mentor and experienced colleagues, you will be directly involved in our daily business and be assigned tasks within diverse projects.
  • You will also play an important role in the development of concepts and initiatives within the Global Medical Affairs business unit.
     

Qualifications

 

  • Currently enrolled and 1 year completed of graduate or professional program (MS, PhD, MPH, Pharm D, MD). Graduate programs in pharmacy administration, health economics, epidemiology/pharmacoepidemology, public health, health policy, or, professional programs with a concentration in health outcomes research preferred.
