Job Description

As the Laboratory Associate you will work in the Process Development department at TEVA, West Chester Site.  Responsibilities include upkeep, operation and maintenance of the laboratory.


You will be expected to perform the following:

  • Bench scale bioreactor maintenance which includes washing, setup, autoclaving & clean up
  • Prepare media and solutions in accordance with standardized procedures (eg. Medium, Buffers, additives etc)
  • Preparation and autoclaving of ancillary equipment used with bioreactors (eg. Valves, bottles, tubing)
  • Order lab supplies (eg. Bags, filters, tubing, probes, reagents)
  • Glassware cleaning and autoclaving
  • Organize lab, stock supplies and keep track of inventory
  • Small equipment maintenance (eg. Novaflex, Vicell)
  • Keep track and maintain sensors (pH and DO probes) used in process development labs
  • Up-keep of the development laboratories
  • Provide experiments execution support to Researchers and Scientists


What you will bring to the role:

  • Associate's degree with a minimum of 4 years or a Bachelor's with a minimum of 2 years of experience working in a laboratory or pilot plant


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in science related field
  • Minimum 7 years of experience working in a laboratory or pilot plant
  • Proficiency in essential laboratory skills, such as reagent preparation, equipment calibration
  • Effective communications and employment skills
  • Attention to detail and organization skills
