We would like to invite applications for the role of Senior Device/Quality Assurance Engineer at our Waterford site.


The Senior Device/Quality Engineer role is to manage and facilitate the development, verification, validation and generation of new and existing development projects, intellectual property and project documentation, using product lifecycle management techniques in accordance with regulatory requirements and the objectives of the R&D device department.


A Day in the Life of our Senior Device/ Quality Assurance Engineer

  • Generation and maintenance of risk management and design history files
  • Generation of technical documentation suitable for submission to regulatory agencies
  • Writing SOP’s
  • Generation of specifications for medical device/combination product manufacture.
  • Characterisation, Verification and Validation of  medical devices/combination products including electronics and software
  • Generation of IP and product life cycle management.
  • Perform risk analysis.
  • Transfer designs to manufacture.
  • Manage activity in a timely and cost effective manner.
  • Communicate internally and externally with relevant partners

Who we are looking for


Are you….

  • Educated to Degree Level in Engineering, IT or similar technical discipline?with strong experience in a similar R&D environment 


Do you have?


  • Knowledge of Regulatory standards in the Pharmaceutical Industry,
  • Knowledge of cGMP, ISO 13485 and ISO14971.
  • Knowledge on IEC 60601-1 and IEC620304
  • Knowledge of medical devices, drug delivery systems or combination Products including electronics and software.
  • H&S/ Environmental knowledge.
  • Technical Engineering knowledge.
  • Strong Computer skills.
  • Experience in Engineering Design techniques.
  • Technical Report Writing Experience
  • Strong Problem Solving Skills
  • Communication Skills
  • Strong Planning and Organising skills
