A day in the life of our R&D Technical Officer

  • Day-to-day purchasing activities including preparing SAP purchase orders, monitoring and expediting orders
  • Accountability for seamless, smooth provision of consumables and laboratory supplies to the R&D department
  • Generation of Capital Expenditure Requests (CER) for R&D
  • Verifies receipt of items and authorizes payment for purchases
  • Maintains all purchasing information and keeps it accessible
  • Vendor approval for laboratory equipment suppliers, consumables suppliers
  • Shipment of samples for Clinical Trials, dangerous goods shipment and general day to day shipments for R&D projects. Preparation and Approval of Shipping Documentation
  • Tracking of Clinical samples enroute to their destination ensuring any problems that may arise are resolved so as to avoid delays
  • Oversee deployment and revision of policies and procedures within R&D related to purchasing and shipping to improve efficiencies
  • Ensure that all Documentation is completed right first time in order to satisfy customer service and comply with Company, cGMP, SOP’s, Specifications and EHS requirements.
  • Schedule shipments and deliveries to agreed timelines - discuss timelines with R&D Managers

Who are we looking for?

Are you….

  • Educated to degree level in a science related discipline.
  • Experienced providing support to a Purchasing, Procurement or Finance Department or similar?
  • Experience working in the Pharmaceutical industry

  • Experience working in a high paced environment
  • Time management and project management skills
  • Problem solving and troubleshooting abilities
  • Ability to work in a collaborative work environment with a team
