Are you ready to make a real impact on people's lives? We are looking for two passionate Device Engineers to join our innovative team at our Waterford site.

 

As a Device Engineer, you will be at the forefront of developing patient-centric drug delivery systems that address unmet user needs. You will get hands-on experience in Designing, Making, and Testing new and existing projects, all while using the latest product lifecycle management techniques.

A Day in the Life of Our R&D Device Engineers:

 

 

  • Innovate and Manage Product Life Cycles: Be at the forefront of innovative technology and innovation. 
  • Create Essential Documentation: Generate risk management and design control documents that ensure our products are safe and effective. 
  • Ensure Compliance: Carry out all tasks in line with the highest standards and regulations. 
  • Design and Prototype: Bring your ideas to life with concept design, CAD modelling, and rapid prototyping. 
  • Develop and Test: Create test methods, build fixtures, execute protocols, and draft detailed reports. 
  • Characterise Devices: Dive deep into the characterization of medical devices and combination products. 
  • Specify Manufacturing Requirements: Develop specifications medical devices and combination products. 
  • Drive New Product Development: Lead the development, verification, and validation of groundbreaking new products. 
  • Improve Existing Products: Manage the enhancement and development of current products through Change Control and Life Cycle Management. 
  • Stay on Schedule and Budget: Ensure all activities are completed in a timely and cost-effective manner. 
  • Collaborate and Communicate: Work closely with internal teams and external partners to achieve our goals.

Desirable Skills: 

If you have some of the following we would love to hear from you!

  • Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with standards in the Pharmaceutical/Medical Device Industry is a plus. 
  • cGMP and ISO Standards: Understanding of cGMP, ISO 13485, and ISO 14971. 
  • Organizational Skills: Strong planning and organizing abilities to manage projects efficiently. 
  • R&D Experience: Any previous experience in R&D will give you an edge. 
  • Computational Modelling: Skills in maths, physics, FEA, or CFD. 
  • Material Science: A background in material science to understand the properties and applications of different materials. 
  • Technical Drawing: Proficiency in technical drawing and tolerance analysis. 
  • Manufacturing Knowledge: Basic understanding of molding and assembly processes. 
  • Medical Device Insight: Knowledge of medical devices, drug delivery systems, or combination products. 
  • Project Management: Skills in planning, organizing, and managing projects efficiently.
