Job Description

We would like to invite applications for the role of Manager R&D Informatics and Analytics at our site in Waterford. Within this role you will be responsible for the Introduction of new Informatics Systems to the R&D Department, the management and facilitation of projects and efficient work streams with a significant focus on change management and service modernisation.

The post of Manager R&D Informatics and Analytics has the requirement to work on multiple projects concurrently. The Manager R&D Informatics and Analytics will support collection and collation of requirements from the Business to ensure Informatics continues to meet business demands.

Key Responsibilities:

Informatics system implementation, operation and maintenance within R&D
Oversee the installation and implementation of new laboratory informatics systems and system upgrades
Co-ordinate developments in lab informatics and systems across the global R&D and R&D IT network
Participate in strategic planning for informatics platforms within R&D
Participate in the data and digital innovation forum within R&D and the wider global team, transforming the way data is generated, stored and analysed
Respond to helpdesk requests for assistance with ELN, FIT, SDMS, Empower & future informatics systems in a timely and effective manner
Oversee deployment and revision of policies and procedures for informatics platforms to improve efficiencies
Work with R&D IT and vendors in support of technical staff to resolve performance issues
Ensure that all Documentation is completed right first time in order to satisfy customer service and comply with Company, cGMP, SDLC documentation, SOP’s, Specifications and EHS requirements.
Communicate and/or liaise at all levels: manager, peers and junior colleagues.
Schedule project work to agreed timelines - discuss timelines with Senior Manager of Technical Services.
Directing the work and providing technical guidance to analysts/ team.
Actively participate within cross functional teams to ensure technical progress and issues are communicated effectively and in a timely fashion.

Minimum Qualifications/Experience:

• 3rd level qualification in a science related discipline.
• Advanced experience in Technical Documentation compilation and review
• Advanced experience in Empower
• Advanced experience in FIT
• Advanced experience in NuGenesis 8 ELN and SDMS
• Pharmaceutical industry experience.

Knowledge:
• Knowledge of cGMP and Regulatory Requirements
• Advanced knowledge of company procedures, policies and standards.
• Advanced knowledge of SDLC Procedures

Skills:
• Technical experience within FIT, NuGenesis 8 ELN, SDMS and Empower
• software.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Dimensions:
• Problem solving, works on own initiative.
• Self-reliant with minimal supervision.
• Capable of working independently and of providing guidance to others.
