Job Description

We would like to invite applications for the role of IT Operations Manager based at our site in Waterford. As IT Operations Manager you will be responsible to deliver local I.T infrastructure service support to sites located in Ireland (Waterford, Dublin (Swords and Baldoyle), also provide adhoc support to additional sites located in UK from time to time.
Key individual will align closely with Global Infrastructure services teams, TGO/R&D/Commercial I.T personnel along with local key stakeholders in the business.
In addition to providing local support to I.T Infrastructure, individual will project manage key local infrastructure projects and will work closely with European I.T Operations Lead.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To be local Technical lead for I.T infrastructure
  • Perform the role of technical lead on IT Infrastructure projects in IE
  • Assist in qualification local I.T infrastructure services, review and contribute to local SOP revisions and responsible for local Infrastructure change Control processes
  • Be focal point of contact between Teva (IE, Global) and external service providers.
  • Take ownership for the resolution of local I.T infrastructure technical issues along with support from Global Infrastructure Services team escalated by Global Ops, external service providers and internal customers
  • Work closely with both I.T TGO, R&D, Commercial organisation.
  • Ensure Network and Server infrastructure complies with necessary internal and external procedures and standards.
  • In conjunction with Global Infrastructure Services team and third party vendors, ensure Network and Server infrastructure is maintained and meets uptime and availability SLAs.
  • Coordinate local I.T infrastructure activities with business and Global teams
  • With the NWE I.T Operations lead, plan local budget for infrastructure projects and external services.
  • Build good working relationships with internal customers and internal/external service providers.
  • Facilitate supplier and customer project review meetings.
  • Escalate service or project issues internally and with external providers to ensure schedules and customer satisfaction is maintained.
  • Willing to work Out of hrs as required to deal with High Priority Infrastructure issues
  • Support IT projects and initiatives to meet the agreed business goals in compliance with relevant methodologies and quality standards, including delivery of infrastructure elements and effective handover to support.
  • Evaluation of new technology opportunities

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, Computer Engineering, or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
  • Proven experience working in a highly regulated environment within the Pharmaceutical Industry would be an advantage
  • Extensive experience working in an IT technical capacity or related IT infrastructure services role.
  • Problem-solving skills – this role also requires excellent problem-solving skills, especially when it comes to directly addressing user issues with software, hardware, and servers
  • Experience of managing suppliers in outsourcing contracts.
  • Experience in drafting qualification documents is required.
  • Successful experience working in a team environment and with multi-disciplinary and global teams.

Knowledge:

  • Technical understanding of IT infrastructure landscape – Cisco LAN, VMWARE, Storage Area Networks, Citrix, Windows Server O/S etc...
  • Good understanding of I.T infrastructure landscape & standards.
  • Strong compliance and quality mind, with ability to mirror technical knowledge, and science.
