The Opportunity

We would like to invite applications for the role of Demand Planner/Buyer at our site in Waterford.  

Working as part of the Supply Chain team, you will be responsible for the organization of all Aerosol and Dry Powder product Customer Demand using the SAP ECC / APO Control Tower Process. In addition you will be the Scheduling Lead for API,  non-material master items and consumables.

 

This will be a 12 month fixed term contract.

How You’ll Spend Your Day

Demand Planning:

  • Organise Demand via the SAP APO Planning system for Teva Pharma Ireland (TPI) Aerosol products.
  • Update SAP APO & Control Tower Planning system with new product codes ensuring alignment with SAP Materials Requirement Planning (MRP).
  • Load manual forecast & orders for ‘Make to Order’ products.
  • Review market cover and action potential risks with production planners.
  • Report on weekly out of stocks in the market.
  • Update reports for bi-weekly Supply Chain S&OE meeting.
  • Be the Supply Chain point of contact for products on allocation.
  • Schedule and chair Customer Demand meetings as needed.
  • Be responsible for Customer Account queries including Financial queries.
  • Set up & maintain accounts for new customers. 


Planner/Buyer Activities

  • Provide forecast / purchase orders to consumable and API vendors (including Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient ( API) Micronisation sites) for all TPI requirements.
  • Review the weekly SAP API & consumable messages and take action as appropriate.
  • Check order confirmation and confirm “firm” orders with each vendor.
  • Be the point of contact for API and consumable deliveries.
  • Proactively work with the vendor to resolve any supply issues and problems.
  • Maintain Safety Stock levels of all consumables.
  • Be the procurement contact for any Consumable vendors with an annual spend of <50K
  • Approve vendor Invoices / resolve vendor related Invoice discrepancies.
  • Report on API coverage and any potential risks. 

Your Experience And Qualifications

  • 3rd level qualification in Business or Supply Chain would be beneficial but not essential
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a high volume manufacturing environment.
  • Has knowledge and understanding of MRP principles and methods.
  • Knowledge and experience in MS Excel and SAP would be a distinct advantage.
  • Knowledge of GMP Regulatory standards in the Pharma Industry
  • Be organised with the ability to plan accordingly.
  • Strong verbal & written communicator.
  • Proactive and can work independently within their boundary of responsibility.
  • Can work within a Team environment.
