The opportunity

We are currently looking for an Associate Director, Site Engineering to become part of our leadership team located in Vilnius. The main tasks of the Associate Director, Site Engineering are to grow and lead the team, organize and plan department activities, supervise and ensure optimized use of the energy, ensure equipment is maintained, repaired and qualified in timely and qualitative manner, manage accounts and prepare reports for the relevant stackeholders.

How you’ll spend your day

  • Lead and organize the work of engineering and validation teams, ensuring effective task allocation and high performance
  • Supervise and motivate teams to comply with workplace safety, fire safety, and electrical safety requirements
  • Oversee activities involving hazardous equipment, ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols
  • Act as the responsible person for departmental budgeting and resource planning
  • Collaborate with global teams and foster an innovative, solutions-driven work environment
  • Coordinate and manage equipment installation projects and related technical activities
  • Monitor and control work performed by internal staff and external contractors
  • Ensure proper maintenance and cleanliness of tools and equipment used for repair and service tasks
  • Communicate process changes and inform employees about potential risks and their impact on health
  • Organize training and onboarding for new technical staff, anticipating future technological changes and company growth
  • Promote efficient and sustainable use of materials and energy resources
  • Prepare and submit requests for materials, spare parts, and tools
  • Ensure compliance with workplace safety, Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), and hygiene standards
  • Develop, approve, and maintain internal work procedures
  • Identify and implement opportunities for improving work organization and enhancing quality standards

Your experience and qualifications

  • University degree – mechanical or electrical engineering, or automation
  • At least 5 years of managerial experience
  • 10+ years of work experience in engineering, maintanance, equipment validation/qualification
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical or other highly regulated industry is a priority
    • Knowledge of the operation of automated systems and their applications in the pharmaceutical or related industry
    • Desirable experience in leading teams in the field of equipment management/maintenance in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Experience working with interdisciplinary teams
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Motivation to work in a global environment
  • High proficiency in MS Office tools
  • Excellent knowledge of Lithuanian and English, in speech and writing
