Your role

In this role you will be the Operations Manager of the Teva Bio-Vilnius site and will be responsible for providing overall leadership for the business, cascading objectives within the organisation and executing the plans under the supervision of Ulm&Vilnius Site GM. 

Your responsibilities will include: 

  • Set financial and operational performance targets; prepare annual operating plans to establish profitability, ensure delivery of capacity and development of operations efficiencies. Ensure the site meets the annual targets for safety, quality and compliance, service and cost optimisation in delivery of the product portfolio
  • Providing day-to-day directions to deliver the targets and managing teams and professionals directly and through a matrix management model; leading cross-functional teams. Proactively promote a lean, patient, people-focused and innovative approach to all activities in the site.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all external bodies as Government Agencies or Regulatory Bodies 
  • Provide leadership and development for leaders and emerging talent, ensuring there is a diverse pipeline of high performing multi-skilled leaders for the future. Drive a culture based on innovation, engagement and development
  • Be responsible for delivering sufficient quantities of supply, both short-term and long-term, and meeting all quality, compliance and regulatory requirements. Drive excellence in all areas of manufacturing operations at the site by promoting a culture of collaboration, agility, continuous improvement, and innovation.
  • Partner actively with the Teva organisation mainly with Fill & Finish and Pack sites through the supply chain organisation and ensure a smooth supply of products
  • Assure the Teva value-based culture, which upholds the Company’s commitment to employee development with a focus on caring and promoting the value of a diverse and inclusive workforce

Your profile

  • At least MSc in Natural Sciences (Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Microbiology)
  • 12+ years of relevant experience along with a minimum 5+ years of experience in a Pharmaceutical Manufacturing environment or equivalent
  • Solid understanding of Biological Manufacturing processes
  • Demonstrated expertise in upstream and downstream manufacturing, as well as analytical tests and technology transfer processes
  • Expert knowledge of operations in cleanrooms
  • Principle understanding of the major critical utilities systems
  • Combined expert knowledge of process safety and of ICH guidelines, especially Q7, Q10 and Q11. The background should include a positive record of plant regulatory inspections 
  • Established leadership in operational excellence and demonstrated ability to provide direction to a diverse functional leadership team, nurture an inclusive culture, and drive employee engagement results
  • Ability to contribute proactively and strategically, as well as ability to influence peers and people at a higher level within the organisation
  • Outstanding logical/analytical thinking and analysis capacities, to deliver facts based evaluations and business focussed decision making
  • Fluency in English
