Main responsibilities and activities

 

In the engineering Department we are looking for a brilliant profile reporting to the Site Engineering Head with the following responsibilities and activities:

 

  • Ensures maintenance of all systems and equipment throughout the site (i.e. production equipment, pumps, systems, instrumental tools, PLC/supervision system as DCS).
  • Oversees the maintenance of plant, machinery, utilities and accessory instrumentation through the support Subcontractor Company, ensuring the adoption within the Company methods and systems which guarantee adequate levels of reliability and availability of machinery and equipment. 
  • Oversees the installation of all instrumentation and equipment at the site.
  • Cooperate with the Responsible providing direct supervision to all maintenance personnel working on site in support of the plant operations, making sure that personnel with the appropriate skills is available as per the established maintenance and activities plan.
  • Cooperate to assign duties and activities to staff on site, overseeing the work, creating proper schedule.
  • Ensures that parts, materials, special tools and required equipment are available for effective and efficient work execution.
  • Require/Evaluate technical offer for spare parts according to the technical specification on the installed equipment and GMP requirement.
  • Insert Purchasing demand on the internal Management system (ERP).
  • Manage the inventory, registering new delivery in the site and maintaining update the technical warehouse (for mechanical/electrical/instrumental/parts).
  • Assure the storage of ddt for technical spare part.
  • Inspects activities on machinery implemented and completed by technical staff, including new installation and improvements.
  • Supports the staff on all mechanical/electrical aspects of new equipment installation and commissioning.
  • Verifies, collects and registers all the document associated to the components repaired or to the spare parts replaced.
  • Verifies, collects and registers all the document associated to the components submitted to the preventive maintenance plan.
  • Utilizes reliable troubleshooting methods and improves preventive and predictive maintenance methods and systems to reduce unscheduled downtime and cost increase.
  • Cooperate with Responsible in definition/collecting/analyzing of technical parameters and defining KPI for monitoring equipment performance.
  • Support Responsible on defining Maintenance Plan.
  • Establishes and maintains good communication, cooperation and coordination with other departments – primary Production - ensuring that plans and programs duly progress in line with business expectations and constrains.
  • Responsible for opening, writing and managing of Deviations, Change etc.
  • Support the Responsible in the drawing up of the investment plan of the site and in the definition, development and qualification of investment projects.
  • Cooperate with the Responsible in the training on internal SOP for the external Maintenance staff.
  • Ensure that the Maintenance staff works according to GMP rules and the HSE guidelines (or standards).

Requirements

 

Education:

 

  • Minimum: Technical/ professional high school diploma.
  • Minimum: 3 years of experience in the role.
  • Preferred: Engineering education: Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Facility, Pharmaceutical, Biochemical and Process. 

 

Languages:     

 

  • Italian fluent.
  • Preferred knowledge of English language.

 

Skills:

 

  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Problem solving.
  • Familiar with IT systems

 

Minimum Experience/Training required:  

 

  • Adequate experience in maintenance in relevant industrial production environment.
  • Adequate knowledge and experience of chemical and pharmaceutical production and packaging process and equipment.
  • Adeguate knowledge of functioning principles and the general management about site utilities
  • Adequate working knowledge of GEP (Good Engineering Practices), GMP and Data Integrity.
