A Day in Legal Department
Within this position, you will act as Patent Attorney with primary responsibility for Teva medical devices. As a part of a global team, you will draft and prosecute patent applications and maintain, defend, and extend the term of patent rights.
You will direct and advise clients on patent and related intellectual property (IP) issues for specialty and generic products. You will be in charge of identifying inventions, and securing valid patent protection worldwide, for digital products (e.g., Teva’s Digihaler) and a variety of other complex products. As a member of designated project teams, you will work closely with colleagues in the USA, UK, Ireland, and Israel and you will assist in the formulation of patent protection and clearance strategies. You will secure freedom to operate from valid blocking third party patent rights. Last but not least, you will act as an advisor and give necessary and timely professional IP input to R&D, Business Development, Markets, Litigation and other stakeholders.
This position requires up to 20% traveling, both domestic and international.

You are…

… experienced with injectable products or digital health products (an advantage)
You have…
… admission to practice as a German or European patent attorney
… bachelor or master degree in mechanical, chemical or electrical engineering, or computer science
… over 5 years of experience doing pharma/biotech IP work, either in-house or at a law firm
… understanding of factors which influence the development of both brand and generic pharmaceutical products
