A day in Clinical Supplies Logistics

We are a global, international team and working with suppliers and teams from around the world.
Our daily tasks are diverse, exciting and challenging. 
As a Manager (m/w/d) Clinical Supplies Logistics, you will be working with Generic and Clinical R&D organization colleagues and oversee activities within the Strategic Reference Listed Drug (RLD) Sourcing Group to ensure products are appropriately sourced, managed, and documented. 
You will formulate effective strategic sourcing goals and objectives for designated regions and assure operational alignment with corporate priorities. You will be act as an interface with Generic R&D organizational groups, Contract Research Organizations, Labeling, suppliers, within our Clinical Department and other organizational departments and service providers/vendors.  
One further interesting challenges will be to monitor limited access and/or difficult to procure products and multiple lot procurement for development teams and collaborate with vendors and other functional leadership to improve efficiencies. Furthermore, you will help to facilitate movement and shipment of product domestically and internationally while providing current local, federal and international rules and best practices to optimize transit times while being cost effective. You will as well assist in the generation and review of supportive documentation for shipments internationally.
For the new product launches, you will have a chance to provide updates to teams and to monitor launches to procure product for the development site to achieve/maintain a competitive edge. 
Another part of your tasks will be to request and provide advance estimates of product costs for planning purposes and perform on-site and facilitate remote RLD inventory audits when necessary.

... a problem solver who works with minimal supervision and exercises judgment within the framework of corporate-defined practices/policies in recommending appropriate actions
... able to effectively manage multiple projects, duties and assignments
... capable of effectively presenting information and responding queries from management, vendors and regulatory authorities thanks to your excellent oral and written communication 
... staying current with recent practices and trends in the generic pharmaceutical industries and regulatory policies
... willing to work in a global team and cooperating with colleagues from different time zones

 

 

You have

 

... a degree in pharmacy, medicine, veterinary medicine or another degree in natural sciences or alternatively in supply chain or logistics and already have knowledge in Clinical Development or logistics
... a successful track record of progressive responsibility including leadership ideally within a pharmaceutical organization
... an understanding of local, state, and federal laws regarding receipt, storage, and shipment of pharmaceutical product
... possibly and experience in clinical research and would you like to develop into Manager (m/w/d) Clinical Supplies Logistics 
... knowledge of secondary packaging would be an advantage
