One day with us in Supplier Relationship Management


Within this position, you will be responsible to secure product supply in time, right quality and optimal cost for a subset of our Third Party Operations (TPO) EU supply network, and to work on longer term optimization strategies. You will lead a cross functional team with members representing Supply Chain, Quality, Procurement, MS&T and ad hoc members where necessary, as a virtual plant management team. You will also manage supplier/business conflicts and constructively lead conflict resolution as well as identify and create continuous improvement plans for all key supplier relationships in the assigned portfolio.

It will be essential that you understand your suppliers and high value products in order to develop suitable approaches and assess risks adequately. In order to gain this understanding, you will analyze business requirements and work together with the sourcing organization to build supplier specific negotiation strategies; analyze today’s suppliers for relationships in the future. Besides the sourcing organization, you will also thrive to develop close partnerships with Business Development and R&D teams as well.
You will be in charge of account management, contract management and supplier governance for major supplier relationships in collaboration with the mentioned supporting functions. You will also be required to proactively seek opportunities to continuously build rapport and partnership with third parties working with Commercial, Procurement and Total Global Operations (TGO).

…a professional with good technical knowledge and/or manufacturing experience?
…a leader with excellent understanding of the pharmaceutical marketplace and industry best practices?
…experienced in building relationships both internally and externally, including establishing solid relationships in the pharmaceutical industry and knowledge of suppliers?
…willing to manage day-to-day issues, as well as set strategic directions, in a complex environment?
…fluent in English?
…willing to travel internationally up to 15-20%?

Do you have...
…15+ years of experience in supplier management, knowledge of industry and best practices in Supply Chain and Third Party Management?
…a Master’s degree or MBA, ideally in Pharmacy, Economics, Logistics or related field?
…proven executive-level communication and relationship skills as well as advanced presentation skills?
…demonstrated ability to work well under pressure and in ambiguity to work and lead in a matrix environment?
…strong analytical skills for both data and written documents?
