TEVA Germany is originating the strong Ratiopharm heritage brand in Generics and OTC, as well as leading the way in Specialty pharma, among others, in the MS market with Copaxone.

 

Reporting to the Head of Biologics Manufacturing & Supply Operations (BioMSO) this position will be the Head of the TEVA Bio site in Germany including U 37, Genesis and SUB2000 project. You will be responsible for providing overall strategic guidance, leadership for the business and cascading objectives within the organisation and executing the plans

 

The position is located in Ulm, Germany.

Job Description

  • Set financial and operational performance targets; prepare annual operating plans to establish profitability, ensure delivery of capacity and development of operations efficiencies. Ensure the site meets the annual targets for safety, quality and compliance, service and cost optimisation in delivery of the product portfolio

  • Ensure Genesis project and SUB2000 project are successfully managed in time and in budget

  • Provide directions to deliver the targets and managing senior teams directly and through a matrix management model as well as leading cross-functional teams. Proactively promote a lean, patient, people-focused and innovative approach to all activities in the site.

  • Partner actively with the TEVA stakeholders in R&D, SC, Portfolio etc. and ensure a professional and competent cooperation

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all external bodies as Government Agencies or Regulatory Bodies

  • Provide leadership and development for leaders and emerging talent, ensuring there is a diverse pipeline of high performing multi-skilled leaders for the future. Drive a culture based on innovation, engagement and development

  • Be responsible for delivering sufficient quantities of supply, both short-term and long-term, and meeting all quality, compliance and regulatory requirements. Drive excellence in all areas of manufacturing operations at the site by promoting a culture of collaboration, agility, continuous improvement, and innovation.

  • Assure the TEVA value-based culture, which upholds the Company’s commitment to employee development with a focus on caring and promoting the value of a diverse and inclusive workforce

Qualifications

  • Minimum MSc in Natural Sciences
  • 12+ years of relevant experience along with a minimum 5+ years of experience in a Pharmaceutical Manufacturing environment with different types of operations or equivalent

  • Solid understanding of Biological Manufacturing processes

  • Combined knowledge of process safety and of ICH guidelines. The background should include a positive record of plant regulatory inspections

  • Established leadership in operational excellence and demonstrated ability to provide direction to a diverse functional leadership team, nurture an inclusive culture, and drive employee engagement results

  • Ability to contribute proactively and strategically, as well as ability to influence peers and people at a higher level within the organisation

  • Outstanding logical/analytical thinking and analysis capacities, to deliver facts based evaluations and business focussed decision-making

  • Fluency in both German and English
