The Warehouse Operator I will accurately and efficiently manage tasks related to order picking, packing, and material handling within the warehouse and distribution center environment. This role combines the critical responsibilities of material handling, order processing, and specialized order management, ensuring the smooth and timely flow of materials and finished goods through the facility. The Warehouse Operator I is responsible for maintaining high levels of accuracy, safety, and cleanliness, while supporting the needs of external customers and internal operations. The role also involves adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure compliance and audit readiness.
How You’ll Spend Your Day
Order Picking & Processing
• Process customer orders in all areas inclusive of controlled environment (CDS, Fridge, and Injection/Cyto).
• Confirm picked quantities with the system, advise discrepancies,
• Maintain accuracy while picking orders and ensure timely completion.
Processing Outbound Shipments
• Verify pallet counts, consolidate shipments, create skid sheets/shipping labels, and generate Bills of Lading (BOL).
• Secure customer orders on pallets using pallet wrapping machines, and stage wrapped customer orders in designated outbound staging locations Move pallets to the order confirmation area.
Material Handling & Process Order Management
• Pick and stage Process orders, and ship materials to other sites as required.
• Complete Master Bill of Lading and perform systematic moves in the system.
Replenishment & Putaways
• Replenish picking areas and perform systematic putaways from Manufacturing/Packaging and third-party suppliers.
Cycle Counts
• Conduct daily cycle counts as needed according to the different systems
• Submit the finalized cycle count report for reconciliation.
Loading trucks for all outbound orders (customer, plant transfers)
• Movement of inventory in ERP
• Completing Bill of Lading (BOL)
Additional Warehouse Activities
• Organize non-inventory items, manage packaging/manufacturing returns, and maintain the operation of material handling equipment, including batteries.
• Perform additional tasks as required by the operational needs of the Distribution Center & Warehouse
Your Skills and Experience
- Required: High School Diploma. Preferred: Canadian Accredited College Diploma in Science or related discipline
- 2+ years previous Warehousing/Distribution experience
- Licensed Operator requirements (Counterbalance, Fork-Lift, Pallet Truck, Turret Truck
- Demonstrated knowledge of SOP’s, GMP’s and EHS procedures including OH&S Act & WHMIS is preferred
- Proficiency working knowledge of Microsoft Applications (Excel, Word, Email); WM Manhattan, SAP – 30 Novo

The typical hiring range for this position is $44,400-$55,500 per year. The base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, education, and internal equity.
