Senior Manager, Supply Chain
Toronto, Canada (Hybrid – 3 days onsite)
The Senior Manager, Supply Chain is pivotal in executing end-to-end consolidated supply and demand processes at the Market-Site level. This role is essential for identifying and escalating risks and opportunities in demand and supply plans, providing actionable plans with clear accountability, timelines, and progress tracking. The incumbent will lead processes that support the supply chain and commercial strategic goals and objectives.
Additionally, this role will oversee the S&OE (Sales and Operations Execution) process, managing key planning and execution responsibilities. This involves close collaboration with manufacturing sites, commercial operations, marketing, finance, and supply sites. The successful candidate will consolidate supply and demand signals, drive root cause analysis, execute mitigation actions, and participate in executive forums for decision-making.
How you’ll spend your day
Market S&OE Coordination: Drive the cadence and structure of the market S&OE, coordinating inputs from site, market supply chain, and commercial teams. Ensure visibility to sales and supply execution gaps and escalate key risks and opportunities. This includes monetizing impacts on financial metrics and linking actions back to S&OP and IBP business plans.
Project and Initiative Management: Coordinate supply chain projects and initiatives to support overall supply chain excellence. Analyze service level risks, drive inventory management strategies, and support mid- and long-term demand and supply balancing. Maintain key performance indicators such as Service Level, Inventory, and Forecast Accuracy.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Support cross-functional initiatives and contribute to continuous improvement efforts impacting the end-to-end supply chain.
Key Activities
- Lead the weekly market S&OE meetings and initiatives between Site, SCAs and Commercial.
- Provide weekly updates from market S&OE, identify key risks, opportunities, and decisions for escalation to regional S&OE.
- Track implementation of decisions and maintain closed feedback loops with S&OP.
- Facilitate joint Site/Market reviews and mitigation planning.
- Support action tracking, root cause analysis, and issue escalation.
- Consolidate supply risk reviews, inventory trending, and service level deviations.
- Maintain inventory levels through parameter reviews.
- Participate in the monthly Demand Review and S&OP process.
- Support of new product introduction, bids, tenders, and transfers.
Your experience and qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field. MBA preferred.
- 6 + years of experience in Supply Chain or related planning field.
- Direct experience with S&OE, S&OP, or execution alignment processes.
- Advanced knowledge of ERP systems (SAP APO/IBP preferred) and analytical tools
- Strong background in demand planning, inventory management, demand-supply balancing, and cross-functional forums.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to root cause and corrective action.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and influence skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complexity and deliver results in a matrix organization.
- APICS Certification desirable.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, PowerPoint, Visio.
