Product Manager - Generics Portfolio
Location: Montreal or Toronto
Hybrid - 3 days a week onsite
The Product Manager - Generics Portfolio is a professional who leads the strategy of its portfolio, ensures the implementation of tactics and maximizes the full potential of its portfolio. The Product Manager will be responsible for the full product lifecycle management of a portfolio of generic drug products. This includes strategic planning, market analysis, new product development, launch execution, and ongoing performance management. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated and data-driven professional with a strong understanding of the generic pharmaceutical market, regulatory landscape, and commercial strategies. The Product Manager is the central point of contact leading and influencing cross-functional teams including Regulatory Affairs, R&D, Operations, Supply Chain, Sales, and Finance. This role requires a unique blend of business acumen, cross-functional leadership and a strong collaborative approach to ensure our products meet market needs and drive business growth.
How you’ll spend your day
- Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy for the assigned portfolio, aligning with company goals and market opportunities.
- Oversee the entire product lifecycle, from portfolio selection to product launch, commercialization, and eventual retirement.
- Lead the development and execution of go-to-market plans for new product launches, ensuring seamless coordination across all functions.
- Develop and manage marketing materials and promotional campaigns.
- Monitor product performance through pre-established KPI’s and adjust strategies as needed to optimize results.
- Serve as the product expert, presenting initiatives and engaging the sales team.
- Communicate product vision, strategy, and progress to all stakeholders, from technical teams to senior leadership.
- Liaise with Supply Chain to minimize negative impact of disruption.
- Additional duties as required by the business.
Your experience and qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in business or related discipline.
- Minimum 7 to 10 years of successful & relevant experience leading similar product portfolio(s) in Canada.
- Deep understanding of the Canadian generic pharmaceutical landscape is preferred, including market dynamics, competitors, and industry trends.
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical Portfolio Management practices related to the Canadian environment (regulatory, compliance, etc.) is ideal.
- Proven project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Bilingualism (FR/EN) will be considered as an asset.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Knowledge of IQVIA data and its different datasets.
- Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
- Ability and willingness to learn new processes, software and systems.
- Great work ethic and positive attitude.
- High proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of applications.
