Job Description

Primary purpose of the position:
The Sustainable Procurement Sr. Manager will be part of the Global Procurement (GP) ESG Team, deepening the team understanding of ESG topics, and playing a key role in achieving our short, medium and long terms ESG and Sustainable Procurement targets. 
The role will drive understanding of laws and regulations, which may affect the overall Responsible Supply Chain landscape, working to translate them into action for the Global Procurement Team, and leveraging them to drive adherence to our Sustainable Procurement Program internally and externally.
This person will also improve GP understanding of Teva and GP’s ESG strategy through a communication and training plan for GP Colleagues. This will include identifying gaps or connecting dots between different GP teams, so we understand local/regional and global ESG actions where GP participates. In addition, the selected candidate will support in developing and owning a Sustainable Procurement Procedure. 
The person will support the achievement Teva’s target to reduce Scope 3 Emission reduction by 25% by 2030 and other Sustainable Procurement Goals, through supporting the design and implementation our GP ESG Engagement Program. This will include supporting our sourcing teams to leverage ESG into their negotiations. 
The person will also work with GP ESG Working Groups and the Teva Global Operations task force in overseeing the execution of our Sustainability initiatives and tracking y-o-y improvement. 
The ideal candidate will lead Global Procurement relationship with any new ESG related providers and tools, and will be part of the team working with Ecovadis, PSCI and RHI. 
This person will work closely with the other ESG team members in EHS&S and Teva ESG, to ensure fluid and harmonized growth of GP’s ESG Function.

General duties and responsibilities:
    Proactive investigation of laws and regulations which may affect the overall responsible supply chain landscape and translate them into action for Global Procurement
    Design and Implement the GP ESG Engagement Program (including our Scope 3 reduction and reporting) and relevant tools
    GP engagement program to improve GP understanding of Teva and GP’s ESG strategy
    Work with GP ESG Working groups and the TGO Sustainability Task Force in overseeing the execution of our Sustainability initiatives
    Work to identify gaps and connect dots from different teams, improving visibility on all ESG efforts GP is undertaking 
    Develop and own our  Sustainable Procurement Procedure
    Create a Supplier Engagement Plan and develop and communicate a Supplier Sustainability Toolkit, outlining our ESG ambitions and

expectations from Suppliers:
    Lead GP’s relationship any new ESG tools/suppliers and be part of the team working with Ecovadis and PSCI
    Work closely with other TGO functions such as EHS&S in achieving our ESG goals
 

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in Business/Accounting/Supply Chain/Procurement/Chemistry/Engineering or equivalent
  • MBA or relevant MS degree- Advantaged 
  • 4+ years on ESG related positions, with hands-on experience on ESG and working with ESG Suppliers (e.g. Ecovadis), including
  • experience on leading important or big scale ESG initiatives/projects. This should also include a broad understanding of ESG concepts, to become an SME for ESG in GP. 
  • 3+ years’ in Procurement or Supply Chain. Preferably pharma. 
  • Total experience of 6+ years combining previous requirements required. 
  • Experience with Ecovadis, SBTi, PSCI, CDP, GHG Protocol (2 or more)
  • Experience Preferred:    Supply/Supplier Risk Management experience is a plus. 
  • Specialized or Technical Knowledge Licenses, Certifications desirable  
  •  

Functional Knowledge:

  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral, as well as the ability to develop concise and effective communications tailored to specific audiences
  • Service oriented, concise and persuasive. Able to collaborate & influence cross functionally and  across the globe
  • Advanced project management, analytical and reporting skills. Managing data and information to report KPI’s and update progress against program objectives
  •  Ability to work independently, with supervisor remotely located
  • Solid understanding of procurement best practices, policies and tools
  • Advanced MS office skills (Word,  Excel and PowerPoint)

 

Language requirements:    Professional Fluency in English (verbal and written), other languages – an advantage
