The opportunity

  • The purpose of this role is to lead the “Products Optimization” process, one of the four Global Portfolio strategic pillars.
  • Optimization scope is to maintain Products competitiveness, extending the life cycle, supporting business growth, and protecting the Generics Portfolio value.
  • Competitiveness can be enhanced by reducing Products cost or improving Products characteristics to better address Customers requirements, Market trends and Environmental requisites.
  • The candidate will also support the Head of Global In Line GX Portfolio Strategy in Global Strategic initiatives where will play a pivotal role in exploring and enhancing the Portfolio Management approach and capabilities.

How you’ll spend your day

  • Lead the Products Optimization global process, aligning to Company strategy and objectives.
  • Facilitate cross functional collaboration and teamwork within all relevant stakeholders.
  • Assure complete financial evaluation availability before Optimization approval and/or prioritization.
  • Monitor data management in Portfolio Database and registration of all key information.
  • Coordinate Optimization budget preparation for approval
  • Align with Regional colleagues in the team, assuring regional business needs are supported.
  • Keep constant communication to business units, allowing transparency and visibility on Optimization decisions.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify Portfolio and reduce operational costs induced by complexity.
  • Engage in Global Initiatives where Global In Line Portfolio is called to participate and contribute representing Business interests in decision making
  • Hand over Optimization projects to colleagues responsible for execution, allowing complete awareness of main drivers for decision, strategic relevance, and key objectives.

Your experience and qualifications

KNOWLEDGE:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in consumer goods or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Preferable in the field of Sales & Marketing, Operations or Projects Management.
  • Strong understanding of product costs, P&L and financial KPIs.
  • Proven teamwork and cross functional experiences are important.
  • Good communication in English, verbal and written.
