The opportunity
This position will be primarily responsible for leading pipeline execution and expansion for selected markets in the International Markets region, by developing an approved product strategy from selection to post launch for both in-house & licensing-in products. Driving the different pipeline processes in collaboration with the markets' Portfolio and cross functional stakeholders, the position will have responsibility to ensure timely submissions and launches outperforming stated business commitment and meet our long-term strategy.
How you’ll spend your day
- Lead product strategy development and management endorsement: drive product strategy post selection to add projects to the pipeline with agreed and signed-off business cases and R&D, RA, IP, BD and SC strategy.
- Collaborate cross-functionally: interact with the team, management and across departments to communicate progress and risk to reach stated business growth commitments. Lead quarterly business reviews with markets and regional management.
- Lead long range planning & annual operating plan: manage, facilitate and prepare for this process including building a robust new launches plan signed-off by multifunctional team and local and regional management.
- Lead a stage gating Pipeline management process: i) ensure project strategy is properly executed – including risk mitigation plans, scenario planning and capturing upsides, ii) monitor key pipeline project parameters such as budgets, timelines, and value according to the stage gate, iii) proactively identify and escalate all issues impacting the strategy and bring to the proper forum.
- Drive pipeline value growth for the selected markets: i) ensure full business case coverage and adherence to stage gates, ii) deep dive analysis with markets on the variances and root cause for net present value changes and pipeline growth drivers, iii) secure successful launches and new products endorsement by management.
- Support implementation of continuous improvement launch excellence program in the region.
Your experience and qualifications
- BA/B.SC in industrial Engineering, Science or Similar, MBA an advantage
- At Least 4 years of experience in the Pharmaceutical industry
- Experience in the product value chain: such as product development, regulatory processes and supply chain
- Demonstrated strong Project Management and Leadership skills with previous experience in managing global interfaces
- Demonstrated experience in pipeline management and expansion
- Ability to lead and manage during time of changes and instability and lead by setting an example
- Knowledge of products P&L and net present value evaluation
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Excellent communication and writing skills
- Fluent written and spoken English
