Job Description

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a VP Global Indirect & Manufacturing Goods & Services (MG&S) Procurement.  This role is accountable for approximately 50% of TEVA’s spend with external suppliers and is estimated in excess of $3 Billion. This role is accountable for the development of procurement strategy, category management, supplier development, contract negotiation, risk management, stakeholder engagement and ongoing continuous improvement activities for all categories in scope of the role.   This position is expected to make a significant contribution to meeting company cost reduction and cash management goals. The Indirect and MG&S Procurement team comprises of ~45 professional sourcing colleagues potentially supporting all units of the company in a wide range of categories including R&D, Marketing & Sales, Professional Services (Legal, Finance, Management Consulting), Facilities, MRO, Logistics, Energy, Laboratory equipment and supplies, IT, HR & Fleet).


Key Responsibilities:

  • Active participation in TEVA’s Global Procurement Leadership Team (GPLT).
  • Lead the development and implementation of global and regional Procurement goals and objectives.
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with senior TEVA Leaders, in order to achieve savings goals, gather feedback, understand category pain points, opportunities, and influence category strategies.
  • Build category governance models to establish highly integrated ways of working with regional procurement teams and key business units across multiple geographic regions.
  • Responsible for achieving a defined set of corporate and procurement objectives – most notably for savings and cash flow delivery, supplier risk and Source to Pay process improvement.
  • Assure alignment between Procurement, Business Unit and Corporate Goals.
  • Guide cross-functional teams in the application of the Sourcing Management Process.
  • Develop and deploy an effective strategy to increase TEVA’s ability to leverage volume globally, regionally and locally.


  • Education Required: Master’s Degree with a major or concentration in Business Administration, Finance, Legal, Chemistry, Engineering or Supply Chain & preferably an MBA.
  • Experience Required: Proven track record of implementing indirect procurement strategies and innovative solutions with a minimum 10 + years in managing Indirect Procurement teams in global and complex environments, preferably from the Pharmaceutical Industry

  • Able to translate strategic vision into tactical plans and manage the change required to execute.
  • Demonstrated ability leading cross-functional teams, managing multiple simultaneous projects and delivering quantifiable results.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal – the ability to gain executive support.
  • Strong Interpersonal/Relationship Management Skills, ability to mentor, manage and develop staff as well as manage/develop suppliers.
  • Excellent supplier negotiation and conflict management skills.
  • Language requirements: Proficiency in spoken and written English
  • Travel Requirements – International: 30%
