This role is an integral part of GSC global planning group.
The Planning Excellence role will primarily focus on manufacturing sites to assess and improve Supply Chain capabilities (processes & competencies) while leveraging SAP / APO and other planning systems.
Travelling:
Requires extensive travelling (at least 50% or 2 weeks out of 4) to support global activities in GSC if and when allowed
General duties and responsibilities
This role main focus areas will be:
•Provide SC best practices and collaborate with Global and Regional supply chain to define future state best practices to support ‘at site’ and the connection with ‘above site’ planning processes.
•Leverage and assure the adoption of SAP / APO and planning platforms
•Provide support for core Supply Planning process - RCCP, MPS, MRP, PP/DS Work with the GSC leaders and Sites who will drive these programs as well as key stakeholders in IT (SAP Enterprise / APO and other planning systems)
•Lead and collaborate with Process Owners to challenge current thinking, presenting opportunities to significantly improve, leveraging internal and external best practices for planning processes
•Develop and Use SC Planning Excellence policies and Toolkits to assess process maturity
•Provide support for the implementation of targeted best practices via APICS Standards training coaching, and hands-on application where required.
•Coach Supply Chain teams in the implementation of projects that have significant impact and provide roadmaps towards ‘Best in Class’ planning processes. Encourage teamwork and collaboration in ownership of the changes that are occurring.
•Look beyond existing methodologies to define and resolve complex problems. Retain knowledge and document best practice case examples in the Supply Chain Excellence model.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or other related discipline.
- 5-7 years of experience in cross-functional/global scenarios, with related Operational Excellence experience, in the areas of Supply Chain (preferred) or Manufacturing Operations - MUST
- APICS Certified / Trained in CPIM and/or CSCP – Highly Preferred.
- SAP- APO training and certifications- MUST
- Very strong project management skills - MUST’
- Demonstrated experience working globally, with different cultures
- Stakeholders' management, experience in engaging non-direct-report stakeholders. Must be able to reach out, drive motivation and solve conflicts beyond organizational and hierarchical boundaries.
- High energy and enthusiasm to lead conflict resolution and team building
- Displays confidence; can defend own perspective and support it with data.
- Demonstrated effective communication and organizational (change management) skills
- Evidence of ability to teach, guide and mentor others and demonstrates leadership ability at different levels
