The Position


At Teva, we are always happy to find individuals who share the same passion and values as we have. We are currently inviting experienced medical affairs professionals for a career opportunity to work with us as a Senior Medical Science Liaison.


The successful candidate will provide internal and external customers with medical and scientific information on Teva products, including appropriate utilisation of specific products in a non-promotional manner, develop and maintain relationships with KOLs and HCPs at academic and clinical institutions as well as in providing scientific/medical leadership and support for products in therapeutic area of responsibility and working closely with Senior Medical Manager to lead integrated strategic therapeutic area planning within country Medical Affairs.

Key Responsibilities


  • Scientific interactions with external experts and HCPs which include responding to unsolicited requests for medical information, providing non-promotional medical presentations, delivering requested medical and scientific disease or non-promotional product information to patient organisations and to payers and also plan and/or execute advisory boards.
  • Identify, prepare and work with speakers, faculty members and clinical investigators.
  • Collect and communicate medical insights.
  • KOL/HCP interaction – develop and maintain relationships with KOLs and provide scientific information about Teva products, research activities and product development in a non-promotional manner.
  • Support/lead medical strategic planning and execution.
  • Regular and extensive review of relevant literatures.
  • Participation in scientific meetings.
  • Domestic field travel of up to 70%.

The Successful Candidate


  • A Life sciences degree, Master’s degree, PhD or MBBS qualified
  • Minimum 2 year previous MSL experience in Pharmaceutical industry
  • Understanding of the Medicines Australia Code of Conduct
  • Ability to build partnerships with senior healthcare professionals/KOLs
  • Strong analytical skills and understanding of research methodologies
  • Excellent communication skills/teamwork/collaboration and ability to work effectively with numerous interfaces
  • Ability to handle competing priorities effectively
  • Openness to change and ability to think out of the box
  • Sydney based
