We’re looking for a passionate and innovative Research Scientist, Protein Sciences to help drive the next generation of therapeutic antibody development. In this role, you’ll take ownership of cutting-edge protein design, expression, purification, and analytical workflows — helping bring life-changing therapeutics from concept to reality.

How you’ll spend your day
As a key member of the Protein Sciences team, you will:
- Lead the design and expression of recombinant proteins, with a strong emphasis on mammalian expression systems
- Perform high-quality protein purification using native and affinity-based methods
- Develop and execute advanced protein analytical workflows, including CE, chromatography (SEC, HIC, RPC, IEX) and mass spectrometry
- Design experiments to evaluate protein developability, enabling confident lead candidate selection
- Interpret, visualize, and clearly communicate experimental results with robust documentation and data integrity
- Coordinate Protein Sciences activities, proactively managing stakeholders and timelines
- Maintain and troubleshoot equipment and contribute to upskilling colleagues where needed
- Present scientific updates and strategic recommendations to project teams and senior leadership
- Explore and assess emerging technologies, championing continuous improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to solve complex scientific problems in a fast-paced discovery setting
- Contribute to internal committees and foster a positive R&D culture of learning, innovation, and scientific excellence
Your experience and qualifications
Education:
- PhD (or equivalent experience) in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a closely related field
Professional experience:
- Deep expertise in protein science, especially antibodies and recombinant proteins
- Hands-on experience with protein purification (native and tagged) and/or analytical methods: HIC, RP-HPLC, CEX, SEC, capillary electrophoresis, and mass spectrometry
- Experience with additional analytical modalities (DSC, DLS, SPR, ELISA) is desirable
- Strong data analysis, interpretation, and scientific communication skills
- Proven ability to adopt new technologies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
- Prior industry R&D experience and knowledge of the therapeutic antibody discovery pipeline is highly regarded
