The opportunity

This is a fixed-term, maternity cover position until 30.6.2026. The successful candidate will conduct molecular biology, cell culture, antibody expression and purification, characterization and binding studies to enable the research and development of therapeutic biologics. The role will also require working closely with cross-functional teams.

How you’ll spend your day

Conduct research and development (planning, execution and interpretation) on novel therapeutic antibody projects. Focus on protein production, screening and characterising antibodies. This is a lab based role which includes:

  • General molecular biology and DNA preparation 
  • Protein expression, purification and characterisation
  • Applying techniques such as mammalian cell culture, SPR, ELISAs, HPLC, FPLC
  • Analytical method development
  • Implementing high throughput antibody purification and characterization workflows to support antibody hit identification and optimization
  • Providing regular updates through presentations, and maintaining experimental records in a timely manner through the use of electronic lab notebooks
  • Training of junior staff members as required
  • Compliance with all employee health and safety guidelines including adherence to TEVA policies and procedures
  • General duties as required, e.g. procurement, instrument custodianship and corporate citizenship

Your experience and qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree with honours in molecular biology, biochemistry or related discipline. Previous experience in industry-based R&D will be highly regarded
  • Experience in mammalian cell culture, protein purification by liquid chromatography and analytical characterization methods
  • Excellent ability to organize and prioritize tasks across multiple projects and deliver according to timelines
