The opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and highly knowledgeable Medical Advisor to join our team in Sydney. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing medical and scientific support for our products, engaging with healthcare professionals, and ensuring the successful execution of medical strategies. This role requires deep clinical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
As this is, a customer-facing role there will be an expectation that you will be travelling around Australia and New Zealand to interact with our customers for around 40-50% of the time.
How you’ll spend your day
• Provide medical and scientific expertise to support the development and commercialization of Teva's products.
• Develop and deliver medical information and education to healthcare professionals, internal stakeholders, and external partners.
• Engage with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and healthcare professionals to gather insights and build relationships.
• Collaborate with the marketing and sales teams to develop and review promotional materials, ensuring compliance with medical and regulatory standards.
• Participate in the development and execution of medical strategies and plans for assigned therapeutic areas.
• Support clinical research activities, including the design and conduct of studies, data analysis, and publication of results.
• Review and provide input on clinical trial protocols, investigator brochures, and regulatory submissions.
• Monitor and analyze scientific literature and competitive intelligence to inform medical strategies.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, guidelines, and company policies.
• Represent Teva at medical conferences, meetings, and other scientific events.
Your experience and qualifications
• Life sciences degree, master’s degree, PhD or MBBS qualified
• Minimum 2 years’ experience of medical affairs in a Medical Advisor or Medical Liaison role in the pharmaceutical industry would be advantageous
• Psychiatry, Neurology or sleep disorders therapeutic area experience advantageous
• Good understanding of the Medicines Australia Code of Conduct
• Ability to build partnerships with senior HCPs and KOLs
• Strong agility and flexibility in ways of working
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with healthcare professionals and KOLs
• Self-motivated and strong sense of accountability to key deliverables
• Ability to handle competing priorities effectively
