The Position


We have an exciting new opportunity at Teva for an experienced Medical Affairs professional to join the team as a Medical Advisor. This is a great chance to step into a more strategic role while still having a lot of opportunity to interact with customers on field.

In this role, you will be providing scientific/ medical leadership and support for products within our Central Nervous System (CNS) portfolio.  In addition to developing Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and Health Care Professionals (HCPs) in the CNS area, you will work closely with our Medical Affairs leadership team in planning and implementing medical strategy, and play a key role in supporting the pre-launch of one of our products.

Key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Execute medical strategy in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Develop, maintain, and identify new relationships with KOLs and HCPs and provide scientific information about Teva products.
  • Collecting and providing insights internally on PBS submissions strategy, launch strategy, patient support programs, clinical trials program and access program strategy.
  • Provide scientific/medical advice, information and training within the company on new and existing products.
  • Support formulary submissions by providing scientific and medical insights and input.
  • Assist managers with running advisory board meetings and planning medical and strategy.
  • Domestic field travel of up to 60%.

The successful candidate


  • Life sciences degree, Master’s degree, PhD or MBBS qualified
  • Minimum 2 years of MSL experience in the AU pharmaceutical industry
  • CNS experience will be advantageous
  • Good understanding of the Medicines Australia Code of Conduct
  • Ability to build partnerships with senior HCPs and KOLs
  • Strong agility and flexibility in ways of working
  • Excellent communication skills/teamwork/collaboration and ability to work effectively with numerous interfaces
