The Position

 

An opportunity has arisen for an Application Support Manager to join our ANZ team. This is a key role, leading and managing IT activities across our different businesses (Commercial, Research & Development, and Medis) and will be the main point of contact for all IT related queries.

This is a busy, hands-on role supporting a high number of end users, particularly end user workstation configuration and support both on-site & remote, whilst managing and supporting local area network. In order to succeed in this position, not only will you be a subject matter expert in required IT areas, you will be a confident communicator with highly developed stakeholder management skills.

In this role, you utilize your experience with Windows Servers, Linux Servers, hardware servers, SQL Database & Active Directory administration, DNS/DHCP administration and troubleshooting, and System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM).

Key responsibilities of this role include:

 

  • Manage and support implementation of new solutions, testing, management, troubleshooting, and administration of new and existing systems within Generics and Specialty areas of a Pharmaceutical laboratory environment which include but not limited to Chromatography Data Systems such as Empower, UV-Vis, GCMS etc.
  • Manage and support delivery of IT services and coordination with local, regional and global resources on the status of projects, service and support efforts.
  • Maintenance of local Windows Servers and Network devices
    • Windows Servers: File/Print server, Voicemail server, Ms SQL server, Doors access systems, Symantec Backup server (NZ), STATA server, R&D License server, Biacore OracleDB server
    • Linux Server: Genedata Biologics application, Genedata Oracle database
    • Network Devices (local purchase and maintenance)
      • Cisco routers, switches, firewall, web-filter
      • Wireless AP and controllers
      • Riverbed WAN optimizer
  • End user workstation configuration and support (on-site & remote) - manage & support the local area network to ensure availability.
  • Implement software & hardware upgrades and manage User Administration
  • Act as local focal point for global IT security and inform users on global security updates.
  • Manage IT infrastructure such as installments, upgrades and replacement. Handle vendor contract services, manage power backup needs, and manage server room facility.
  • Manage audio-video facility in Teva premises.

The successful candidate

 

  • Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in corporate environment supporting desktops and servers (hardware & software)
  • Managing of IT projects with multiple teams
  • Experience with Windows 7 + Windows 10 & Microsoft Office 2010
  • Experience backup management using Commvault System recovery or similar
  • Experience with deploying desktop images
  • Experience with VPN and administrating RSA tokens/users
  • Experience with Windows Server 2003 through to 2012 R2
  • Knowledge of SQL Database & Active Directory administration, or similar
  • Knowledge of DNS/DHCP administration and troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of PABX systems (Avaya preferable)
  • Knowledge of System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM)
