The Position


We are seeking to recruit a talented and self-motivated team member to join the Antibody Generation team at Teva Pharmaceuticals to select and optimise antibodies for therapeutic use.


The successful candidate will also actively drive technological innovations to antibody discovery and engineering platforms, adding to our team of passionate scientists keen to discover new medicines.


Key Responsibilities of this role include:


  • Sequence analysis and optimisation of hit antibodies (eg. Humanization, affinity maturation by library based approaches).
  • High-throughput antibody reformatting, transfections and screening by ELISA, HTRF, SPR and/or FACS based methods.
  • Advance novel approaches to accelerate discovery campaigns and continuously improve the resulting panels of leads.
  • Record keeping and maintaining detailed, accurate laboratory notebooks.
  • Compliance with all current policies and procedures.
  • Corporate citizenship, including serving on in-house committees.

The Successful Candidate


  • A Ph.D. degree in Biochemistry/ molecular biology/ structural biology or related life sciences discipline with 0-2 years of either postdoctoral or industry experience


Professional experience

  • Strong background in molecular biology techniques with experience in genomic PCRs, cloning, DNA sequencing
  • Experience of recombinant antibody expression and purifications as well as screening of candidate antibodies with assays employing ELISA, HTRF, SPR and FACS
  • Ability to conceive and design experiments independently, develop screening assays, optimize protocols, and interpret experimental results
  • Ability to learn and embrace new technologies, work simultaneously on multiple projects, organize data and communicate outcomes to the team
  • Comfortable using laboratory automation
  • Excellent attention to detail, strong documentation skills, a can-do attitude
  • Ability to present data through the use of presentations, and communicate effectively (both written and verbal)
  • Understanding of immunogenicity assessment of antibodies will be advantageous
