We would like to invite applications for the role of Associate Director- National Gx & OTC Sales at our commercial office in Swords. This is a Hybrid role with some primarily national travel expected and small amounts of international travel throughout the year as business needs require.
The role involves driving the strategic growth in Teva’s Generics business in Ireland by leading a high-performing sales team, managing key national partnerships, and delivering on ambitious sales and margin targets. This is an exciting role for a dynamic, motivated and ambitious Sales leader who wants to take the next step in their career!
A Day in the Life of our Associate Director- National Gx & OTC Sales
- You will have shared responsibility for the strategic direction of the generics business, with a primary focused on the support and development of the commercial sales team and delivery of sales and gross margin ambitions for our strategic accounts.
- Ensuring that Teva continues our long standing partnerships with our key customers, you will be responsible for developing (and delivering) initiatives and strategic alliances with national buying groups and vertically integrated wholesalers.
- Leading and managing a team of five experienced Territory Sales Managers.
- You will be responsible for sales targeting and incentive management of the Territory Sales Manager’s across the Generics, Hospital Pharmacy and OTC business to ensure that the Business Unit achieves the annual operating plan.
- Focusing on driving efficiencies in the commercial business to ensure that we are optimising our offering for all of the various customer types we serve.
- Collaborating with the Marketing team leaders to effectively manage the operating expenditure for the generics BU in order to achieve the financial goals of the dept.

- A person who has existing, well developed relationships with national level stakeholders and can use these relationships to influence for success.
- A customer centric, team focused sales leader.
- Someone who can influence customers and team members to achieve the competing pressures between top and bottom line sales goals.
- Degree qualified-in a relevant field would be desirable but not essential.
Do you have….
- 8 years plus experience in sales in a pharma environment?
- People management experience including coaching 1:1s, mentoring and people development?
- Strong negotiation and influencing experience?
- Strong experience in establishing and building on partnerships with external customers?
- Experience working with P&L and setting targets?
- Experience dealing with major pharmaceutical retailers in the Irish market?
- Experience successfully operating within a highly regulated environment?
