The Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced Senior Transportation Specialist to join our Supply Chain team in Sofia. In this role, you will play a key part in managing and monitoring transportation activities, ensuring shipments are booked, executed, and delivered efficiently, on time, and in line with agreed service level guidelines.
You will work closely with internal customers and logistics partners, contributing to smooth daily operations and high service quality in a fast paced, international environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Handling of transportation orders, including coordination, documentation and daily monitoring of loading and delivery schedules in compliance with stated requirements
- Daily communication and cooperation with relevant business parties - customers, suppliers, LSPs, internal departments and external warehouses
- Collect proofs of delivery within the standard timeframe and provide them to customers
- Resolve standard logistics issues with minimal supervision, ensuring efficient and proper shipment execution
- Analyze available transport options, balancing cost and lead time, and recommend the best solution
- Participate in logistics initiatives and projects as required, completing assigned tasks by the team leaders within deadlines
- Demonstrate a consistently high level of service quality and attention to detail
- Contribution to the continuous improvement of logistics processes
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably in business management or a related field
- Knowledge of the specifics of the transportation business will be considered as advantage
- Knowledge of transportation processes, logistics operations, trade agreements and Incoterms will be considered as advantage
- Excellent command of English, both written and spoken
- Very good knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
- Excellent follow‑up skills, with the ability to track tasks, shipments, and issues end‑to‑end and ensure timely resolution
- Strong sense of ownership and accountability, with a proactive approach to making operational decisions
- Strong communication skills and high attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple activities simultaneously
- Willingness to learn and continuously develop
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g. SAP) is considered an advantage
