The ExM (External Manufacturing) Senior Manager Supply Chain for the Strategic Operations Unit is a member of the ExM Supplier Relationship Team (SRT) with ownership of the supply chain planning process for the SRT for supply chain scenario planning and execution, leading and managing supply chain integration of CMOs transferring into and out of the SRT portfolio, and continuous improvement projects and initiatives as assigned. This role is responsible for the creation and maintenance of the ExM Strategic Operations Unit Supply Plan for products from all external (Third Party) vendors within the portfolio, to ensure the correct supply and stocking levels to support sales and operations. You will be responsible for making balanced decisions and guidance on supply plans to achieve key business and financial objectives of sales, customer delivery, working capital and cash flow, in addition to being responsible for identification of supply risks and development of risk mitigation scenarios for presentation and alignment with key stakeholders and senior leadership. This position will work closely with the various country, ExM and global functional groups of Supply Chain, Commercial Sales/Marketing, Quality, Regulatory, Finance and Procurement to ensure effectiveness of the Supply Chain Processes in meeting overall service, inventory and cost objectives.
How You’ll Spend Your Day
- Drive the monthly development of the Sales & Operations Plan for external (Third Party) vendors that supports defined customer service and inventory metrics
- Implement global inventory and supply chain policies, replenishment strategies, master data optimization, and process management, ensuring appropriate levels of safety stock are set and achieved across the assigned portfolio
- Support the Global and ExM S&OP process and Supply Chain teams through relevant metric reporting and summary of risks, opportunities, & key supply decisions required
- Responsible for the ExM Strategic Operations SRT monthly S&OP/Supply Review executive summary and meeting agenda content, including meeting presentation and facilitation
- Accountable for supply chain metrics/dashboards: CSL/OTIF, Inventory, Restricted/QA stock, Back Orders, Open PO’s, Short-Date/write-offs
- Participate in the development of the supply planning strategy and implement relevant elements within the ExM Supply Chain
- Lead and manage supply chain integration of any CMOs/vendors transferring into and out of the SRT portfolio, including master data, materials, BOM, invoice flow, inventory, and bridging stock planning
- Partner with the Supplier Relationship Team (SRT) to support the contracts, performance management, and ongoing relationship with external (Third Party) partner
- Responsible as ExM Strategic Operations Unit SRT Supply Chain focal point for new product introductions, bids/tenders, and product transfer teams to ensure supply plans are developed, communicated and executed in support of the project timelines
- Responsible for maintaining SRT inventory at optimum levels via routine review of planning parameters
- Oversight of a balanced S&OP supply chain plan for assigned portfolio of products in creation of SAP based 24 month rolling supply plan, including Rough Cut Capacity Planning (RCCP) where vendor transparency and data is known
- Owner of the Master Production Schedule (MPS)/Stock Requirements list for assigned portfolio of products
- Responsible for SRT MPS review to ensure all Materials Requirements Planning (MRP)/ Supply Network Planning (SNP) elements are relevant
- Responsible for purchase order maintenance
- Responsible for MRP/SNP messages & alerts and required actions
- Responsible for Monthly Auto Provision process in SAP system
- Make all material management decisions based on MRP/SNP data
- Maintain inventory accuracy, cycle count, and reconciliation
- Monitor MRP health metrics to ensure accuracy of planning book
- Escalate all risks, opportunities & issues to Senior Director, ExM Senior Director Strategic Operations Unit, senior leadership and S&OP process as appropriate
- Drive long-term supply chain strategy development and implementation across ExM in alignment with Teva Global Operations (TGO), business, and functional strategy goals
- Supports standardization of S&OP processes, templates and metrics at ExM & Global Supply Chain levels
- Drive to meet critical AOP targets Customer Service Level (CSL)/ On Time in Full (OTIF)
- Monitor Inventory, Short-Date, and Backorder/OOS and develop risk mitigation plans via cross-functional collaboration for solutions as needed
- Assist where necessary to resolve supply chain issues and remove roadblocks
- Work with the Supplier Relationship Manager (SRM), as part of the Supplier Relationship Team (SRT), to ensure that suppliers are aligned to the latest strategic initiatives and adhere to the appropriate business, technical, and quality agreements
- Lead special projects, initiatives and analytical analysis as required/assigned
Your Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited University or College in the area of Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, or related field.
- APICS or equivalent certification preferred
- Minimum eight years Supply Chain Planning experience with a demonstrated knowledge of Supply Chain concepts and "Best Practices"
- Experience with Advanced Planning Systems, e.g., JDE, Oracle, SAP APO/SCM preferred
- Specific experience in the areas of Supply Planning, Materials Management, Inventory Management, Demand Planning and Sales / Operations Planning preferred
- Lean Six Sigma experience is preferred
- Current knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and other regulatory requirements preferred
- Experience in implementing Supply Chain Planning Execution Systems and Processes within an ERP environment, including design and implementation preferred
