Our Team, Your Impact

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Manager, Integrated Risk Management (IRM), based in Sofia, Bulgaria to lead the design, operation, and continuous advancement of the Integrated Risk Management program across our Global Operations network.

This enterprise-level role serves as the technical authority for operational risk, ensuring consistent identification, assessment, mitigation, and transparent reporting of risks across supply continuity, manufacturing, quality, regulatory change, cyber/OT, EHS&S, and external partnerships.

This is a pivotal leadership position operating within a dual-governance model where Supply Chain owns the risk process and outcomes, and EHS&S owns the methodology, governance, and assurance. You will be the operational engine that brings this model to life.

How You’ll Spend Your Day

  • Design, implement, and evolve the IRM framework, including taxonomy, scoring methodologies, thresholds, escalation paths, and documentation standards.
  • Maintain and improve the authoritative global Risk Register, ensuring high-quality, audit ready data.
  • Drive alignment and timely submissions to Enterprise Risk Management (ERM).
  • Act as the final authority on risk scoring across impact, probability, velocity, and preparedness.
  • Challenge and validate risks submitted by sites and functions to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Identify cross functional and systemic risks not visible within individual areas.
  • Track risk trends, residual risk, and mitigation effectiveness over time.
  • Lead monthly IRM working forums and quarterly leadership risk councils.
  • Prepare and deliver executive level materials, including risk maps, dashboards, trend analyses, and emerging risk insights.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to leaders across Supply Chain, Quality, Manufacturing, Procurement, IT/OT, Security, and EHS&S.
  • Embed Business Continuity Planning (BCP) within the IRM program.
  • Lead Crown Jewel identification, scenario planning, and stress testing activities.
  • Coordinate BCP drills and readiness assessments, ensuring gaps translate into risk actions.
  • Act as the primary interface with cyber security and OT security functions.
  • Ensure cyber and OT risks are assessed with the same rigor as operational risks.
  • Support crisis governance, including partnering with the Global Situation Room during major incidents.
  • Develop forward looking scenarios (e.g., supply disruptions, site failures, regulatory shocks).
  • Partner with Finance, Supply Chain, and Engineering teams on quantitative risk modeling.
  • Translate complex data into clear insight for executive decision making.
  • Train and coach functional Risk Champions across the organization.
  • Standardize global risk identification, documentation, and reporting practices.
  • Drive a shift from reactive risk reporting to proactive risk sensing.
  • Mentor and guide the IRM Coordinator.

Your Skills and Experience

  • 10–15+ years of experience in operational risk, supply chain risk, manufacturing, quality, EHS&S, or business continuity.
  • Proven leadership of cross‑functional risk or governance programs in complex global organizations.
  • Strong understanding of pharmaceutical operations and external manufacturing networks.
  • Demonstrated experience presenting to senior leadership and OLT‑level forums.
  • Comfortable influencing and pushing back on senior leaders with data driven insight.
  • Able to connect risks across functions, geographies, and processes.
  • Brings rigor without unnecessary bureaucracy.
  • Effective in crises and high stakes situations.
  • Neutral, objective, and enterprise focused.

Also Good to Have

  • Experience with ERM, BCP, cyber/OT risk, or resilience programs.
  • Familiarity with scenario planning, risk analytics, or stress testing.
  • Background in large‑scale manufacturing, supply chain, or regulated industries.
