We are looking for qualified and motivated candidate for the role Senior Data Scientist, based in Sofia.

The opportunity

You will be part of a team of passionate data scientists and IT specialists, in their endeavor of building great data science practices in Teva. You will use your creativity, to find ways to answer questions by modeling very rich sources of data. You will grow professionally by widening your knowledge across many domains and data types. You will have the opportunity of using or learning to use the most modern tools for AI.

How you’ll spend your day

This position is for a senior data scientists with broad and versatile technical and analytical skills. Our activities include the following: 
•    Perform exploratory data analysis to extract actionable business insights 
•    Formulate hypotheses about patterns in data and test them 
•    Apply statistical methods to detect patterns or outliers 
•    Communicate Data insights to stakeholders through intuitive visualizations and presentations
•    Apply Machine Learning techniques to forecast future behavior
•    Participate in brainstorming sessions around recent advancements in AI
•    Actively participate in decision making for Data Science projects such as choosing best modeling approach, defining benchmarks and KPIs, giving ideas on how to move forward or improve the scope and value.

Your experience and qualifications

•    Bachelor degree in Mathematics, Computer Science or Statistics 
•    Masters’ or Doctorate degrees in the areas above are an advantage 
•    Data Science or Machine Learning experience of at least 5 years, or equivalently 3 projects 
•    Methods for regression, classification, times series forecasting, recommender models, marketing modeling, optimization, NLP, genAI, RAG 
•    Python: Pandas, Numpy, SKlearn, Scipy, Streamlit, Jupyter Notebooks, Plotting packages 
•    Azure, DataBricks are an advantage 
•    Good command of modern AI tools for efficient code writing, fast experimentation
•    Excellent research skills on the state-of-the-art using LLM chatbots or traditional search, summarizing existing solutions
