In  August 2016 Actavis has been acquired by Teva Pharmaceutical. In Bulgaria we are the largest employer in the pharmaceutical industry with near 1700 employees in the two manufacturing plants (Dupnitsa and Troyan); sales and marketing organization and in a number of global corporate functions based in our country. As a Teva company, in October 2020 Actavis has started the process of re-branding and anticipating the Teva brand.


We are looking for qualified and motivated candidate for the role of Release Manager, located in Bulgaria (Sofia).


Main Responsibilities


  • Stay on top of the release management lifecycle including scheduling and coordinating releases across global IT digital group for multiple applications.
  • Provide the tools and services needed to help product teams manage and deploy code into production.
  • Responsible for implementing and managing the release process from development to testing then finally to the production environments.
  • Create the infrastructure necessary to enable frequent and quick releases
  • Constructing a release calendar for the different projects to have a centralized view of all releases.
  • Manage and mitigate risks and resolve issues regarding release quality and schedule.
  • Continuously monitor projects and provide reports about their progress.
  • Ensure all team members are adhering to engineering best practices as well as enforcing DevOps policies.
  • Monitor the release process and collecting feedback from the different teams as well as customers for review.
  • Make improvements on a regular basis to the release process.
  • Communicate and convey technical concepts to clients, team members, and project managers
  • Understanding technical and functional project dependencies 
  • Work both independently as well as collaboratively within a team


Main requirements


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline is desired
  • Expertise in computer programming, including strong experience working with data, including APIs, databases, and other data sources (.net and visual studio as optional)
  • Knowledge of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CD/CI) pipelines
  • Hands on experience with Version Control Software such as Bitbucket, Github or other
  • Experience in working with DevOps and Agile methodologies
  • Working knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle such as JIRA, Azure DevOps
  • Knowledge of traditional agile methodologies, including Scrum, Waterfall, or Kanban
  • Good understanding of application infrastructure, system architecture, and operating system
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
